Karol G and Feid have reportedly called it quits at the start of 2026. After years of rumors and navigating the fallout from Karol G’s past relationship with Anuel AA, the couple appeared to be at the peak of their relationship. They released multiple collaborative songs, broke the internet with their Instagram posts, and showed undeniable chemistry during their onstage performances.
While the cause of the breakup remains unknown, cracks in the couple’s relationship had been rumored for months, eventually leading to reports from multiple sources confirming their split.
From the beginning of their relationship in 2021 up to now, here is a complete timeline of Karol G and Feid’s relationship.
Pre-2021: Hometown Connection
Medellín, Colombia, is a relatively small city that has produced numerous talents, including J Balvin, Maluma, producer Ovy on the Drums, and many others, making its artistic community tight-knit. Karol G and Feid are also two música urbana artists from the city, and Karol said in an interview with Rolling Stone “the two artists had known each other from Medellín, but they hadn’t really kept in touch.”
October 2021: Feid opens for Karol G’s “Bichota” Tour
On her first-ever headlining U.S. tour, Karol G was promoting her project KG0516. Before the tour started on October 27, 2021, Feid was announced as the opener. At the time, he was a smaller artist gaining traction as a solo act after working behind the scenes as a songwriter, penning major hits like J Balvin’s “Sigo Extrañándote” and Anitta and Prince Royce’s “Rosa.” Now stepping into the spotlight on his own, this tour was one of his first major opportunities, and Karol gave him the chance to shine.
November 2021: Feid and Karol G spotted at an after party together
After Karol G performed at the New York stop of her tour at the end of 2021, she hosted a party to celebrate her win for “Bichota” in the “Best Reggaeton Performance” category. At the afterparty, she and Feid exchanged heartfelt messages about the win, sparking some of the first rumors of a potential relationship.
December 2021: Feid and Karol G release “FRIKI”
Amidst the 8-month tour, Karol and Ferxxo got in the studio. Around the end of 2021, they released their first official collaboration with one another called “FRIKI.” The sultry track was all about the nightlife in their hometown of Medallo. The track showed their effortless chemistry in the music-sense, however they soon released the video to the track a few days later. The end of the video showed them getting pretty friendly onstage with one another on the “Bichota” tour, which only sparked rumors of the potential for a relationship. In addition, as they returned to Medellín for the hometown stop of the tour, some media outlets reported Karol G being excited as Ferxxo took the stage. At the time, Karol was still facing backlash for breaking up with Anuel AA.
March 2022: Tanya Charry claims Feid and Karol G are dating
In a news segment, host and journalist Tanya Charry was one of the first to report that Karol G had found a new relationship after Anuel AA. She claimed that they were “in love or at least very excited,” and also claimed the couple had been in some kind of relationship for 5 months—which roughly coincided with when they both embarked on a tour.
May 2022: Feid shuts down dating rumors
Feid was interviewed on the Radio Moda show, and when asked about his relationship with Karol, he responded, “If I had something to say, I'd tell you everything, but I don't. We made a song together, I was with her on tour, I love her very much and all, but beyond that, nothing” (Translated from Spanish). For the time being, Ferxxo silenced all the rumors that heavily alluded to the romance between him and Karol.
In the same month, Karol’s ex, Anuel AA, showed his sourness over his breakup with her at his show at the Miami stop of his 2022 tour. He would play his collaborations with Karol at the show saying, “Let’s make them hear it in Colombia!” He then started talking about Karol and her new relationship saying, “You already have a boyfriend,” he sings in Spanish. “I miss you / He doesn’t understand like you I do / He will never make love to you like me.” He even name-dropped Feid, changing the lyric of his line “Será que el novio la dejó?,” to “Será que Feid la dejó?” He would even make a post saying he was done speaking on the matter, hash-tagging all his collaborations with Karol in a post.
June 2022: Feid alludes to a relationship at the Premios Tu Música Urbano
Ferxxo dodged questions about the relationship once again at the Premios Tu Música Urbano. When directly asked if he is in a relationship with Karol, he answered, “I have been involved with her, with my ex-girlfriend, with my mom, with my aunt, with everyone” (translated from Spanish). The rumors are still floating, and neither Karol nor Feid had confirmed anything directly at this point. The only thing fans had to go off of was a now-deleted picture Feid posted to his Instagram, which had included his phone screensaver, which had a blue-haired girl, which many fans presumed was Karol G.
August 2022: Feid and Karol G get matching fake face-tattoos
In the late summer, rumors of Feid and Karol G pushed further as they both posted videos on their IG stories within hours of one another. The videos had one similarity, and that was the matching heart face-tattoos they both had in their respective videos. The tattoos seemed like something more than a coincidence, and the tattoos turned out to be fake.
November 2022: Feid denies dating Karol once again at a show
During a concert, a fan arrived with a bright poster that read: “Are you dating ‘La Bichota?’ (Karol G’s nickname) YES OR NO.” Feid stopped the show to answer the question on the poster, and after reading it, he definitively answered “no.” With the audience letting out a resounding disappointment when he answered. Later in December, Feid contradicted his answer as fans pieced together video from the Latin American holiday, 'Day of the Little Candles,' which they believed Ferxxo and Karol spent together based on the location of their respective videos and photos.
February 2023: Karol G drops a love song called “TUS GAFITAS” on her album MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO
On the track “TUS GAFITAS,” (“Your sunglasses”) it is a cryptic love song about Karol’s significant other’s sunglasses that he left in her car. This is reminiscent of Feid, since a part of his branding is wearing branded sunglasses that read “FERXXO” across the lenses, a pair of sunglasses Karol was also spotted wearing. Even in the visualizer the glasses are Ferxxo’s signature green, only making stronger hints of their relationship.
March 2023: Feid and Karol G dance onstage once again
Feid and Karol then recreated the moment when they danced together onstage that was seen from the beginning of the relationship. Karol reposted a picture of them saying “@feid Perrerito Parte 2!!! 🇨🇴.” Ferxxo would respond saying, “Rompiste horribleee ese estadio reina” (“You absolutely killed it at that stadium, queen,”). At this point, it was pretty obvious they were in a relationship, but they continued to hint at it through social media.
May 2023: Anuel AA calls out Feid directly over Karol G
In May, Anuel directly targeted Feid, posting a fan’s poster reading “F**k Ferxxo” on Instagram. In the caption, he wrote, “Esta se la dedico a tu novio bb 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚” (“This one’s dedicated to your boyfriend, baby”). Anuel’s message to the couple was quite clear and hostile, openly showing his jealousy of the relationship.
June 2023: Feid and Karol G confirm their relationship in Miami
Soon after Anuel's antics online, Feid and Karol were spotted together at a concert holding hands with one another. This was the first confirmation from both artists of their relationship. It cannot be determined whether this was a subtle response to Anuel, who had criticized them both the month before.
August 2023: Karol G discusses the beginning of her relationship with Feid in an interview
Karol G was pretty coy about the topic of Ferxxo, and gave a mysterious answer that once again did not directly confirm anything relationship with him. She talked about when they first met saying to Rolling Stone, “There was a long time when we didn’t speak to each other, and I barely knew anything about him.” Even though she only spoke of how their relationship started, it suggested once again they had a spark, which only corroborated the photos seen the month before. The interviewer got some confirmation by observing Karol, “She doesn’t explicitly confirm the relationship, but the comment feels like a surreptitious acknowledgment that something is going on between them. Later, in the rush to leave the hotel for her rehearsal at the Today show, I accidentally pick up the wrong phone off the couch, thinking it’s mine. It’s actually Karol’s, and the background is a candid shot of Feid, slightly sunburned and smiling.”
November 2023: Karol G and Ferxxo share a moment at the Latin Grammys
Karol carried away the award for “Best Urban Album” at the Latin Grammys for her project, MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO. Throughout the award show, the artists further hinted at their romance by sharing a hug as Karol went to receive her award.
December 2023: Karol G speaks on her privacy when it comes to personal relationships and seen with Ferxxo in Colombia
Karol and Feid were no longer dispelling the rumors of their relationship, but rather, trying to keep it as private as possible for personal reasons. In an interview, Karol made a lengthy statement saying, “I’ve learned a lot about my personal relationships along the way, and I feel like people tend to idealize celebrity relationships. They’re just normal relationships, like anyone else who’s filming or doing a photoshoot, or whatever. Not all relationships end because of bad things, on bad terms, or because of infidelity. It’s difficult sometimes to have a relationship and want to keep it private when, well, we’re public figures, we go out in public, people see us, but as much as I can, I think there are things I want to start keeping more to myself, because I think it’s a way of protecting them” (Translated from Spanish).
This statement seemed like her way of telling fans to leave them alone, and try to re-direct focus to her musical career, given how far these rumors had gone.
Beyond just talking about the relationship, she was also seen with Ferxxo multiple times in Colombia. First was at “MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO Fest,” where the couple danced once again onstage as they have done as the entire crowd roared with cheers. The next time was seen partying at the club dancing to Karol’s song “AMARGURA.”
March 2024: Karol G and Feid appear together at the Billboard Women in Music Ceremony
Karol G was set to accept the “Woman of the Year” award at the event. In an Instagram post recapping her experience at the award show, she shared a photo on the very last slide of herself holding hands with Ferxxo as they smiled at one another. This marked Karol’s hard launch of their relationship, and fans embraced the moment as the post racked up more than 5.5 million likes.
In the same month, when a fan at a show said “Karol, my husband wants to leave me for you,” Karol G responded saying; “But I’m already engaged.” This sparked rumors of their relationship going much beyond simply dating.
May 2024: Karol G removes her tattoo dedicated to Anuel AA
Supposedly, as a way of moving on from her ex, Karol G decided to remove the tattoo she had gotten when she was with Anuel. At the same time on Instagram, Ferxxo and La Bichota made their relationship even more public as they showed love to one another on social media. Feid commented on a picture of Karol saying, “My baby, you look so beautiful." (Translated from Spanish).”
July 2024: They share a dance and a kiss
Once again, the pair hit the stage in Madrid, this time with Karol surprising Feid with her appearance. The couple shared a dance, which quickly became a tradition between them as fans screamed in support of their relationship.
Later that same month, the couple was seen sharing a kiss at a Copa América game, sending fans into a frenzy and solidifying their status as the most talked-about couple in Latin music.
October 2024: In a rare interview with Feid, the artist discusses his relationship with Karol
In an interview with host Chente Ydrach, Feid answered a question on the public-nature of relationship with Karol G, considering a major artist like Anuel is openly insulting them on social media and at his shows. Feid spoke on the public scrutiny of his relationship and confidently said, “I feel like it’s part of it. If I fight it, man, I’m going to be unhappy. I have to accept it, if I want to be who I am, the job I chose, and I have to accept it, man, with the exposure, with what I have to do, with people’s opinions, because if I didn’t want people to have opinions about my music or my relationship, then I wouldn’t have chosen to do this.” This marks one of the few times he spoke on his personal relation with Karol.
November 2024: The Couple pair up on the Colombian anthem, “+57”
Feid and Karol G paired up for their second collaboration along with J Balvin, Maluma, Blessd, DFZM, and Ovy on the Drums for the posse-cut “+57” or the area code of Medellín. The track was a smash-hit, but also received major backlash for a specific line sung by both Feid and Maluma, which said “mamacita desde los fourteen” (“mamacita since fourteen”). The horrid line was quickly changed to “eighteen.” Some defenders of Ferxxo stated that the line was in reference to Karol as she was on X-Factor at age 14, which is why the line was written that way. Karol made a public apology:
“None of the things said in the song have the meaning that has been attributed to them, nor were they said from that perspective, but I hear you, I take responsibility, and I realize that I still have much to learn. I feel very affected and I sincerely apologize. I want to thank my fans once again for their unconditional love and support; I value it immensely, and to the artists who participated with me on the song, I cherish the beautiful energy with which we worked that day!” Ferxxo made no statement on the lyric.
December 2024: The pair is seen on vacation in Tahiti
Soon after the incident with the track, both artists were seen at the end of 2024 enjoying a vacation on the island of Tahiti. They were seen on the water, scuba-diving and enjoying the sun. This was right after Feid completed his world tour, so once again the couple went to enjoy some time away from work with one another.
May 2025: Karol G appears, unveils her documentary, and publicly talks about her relationship
Karol released her vulnerable Netflix documentary about her come-up in the music industry. At the premiere she appeared with Ferxxo as they showed the love for one another on the red carpet laughing with one another. She also made an appearance on the TODAY show, where the host referred to him as the “love of her life,” she responded by saying, “He understands what I do, I understand what he does. He is a really special soul. It is a blessing to have him”
June 2025: Feid and Karol release their last collab, “Verano Rosa”
In June, when Karol dropped her newest album Tropicoqueta, the album experimented with all kinds of folk music native to her home-country of Colombia. For her Rolling Stone interview in 2023, Karol mentioned, “‘Verano Rosa’ was never finished. Karol wasn’t able to complete it, partly because it took her time to find the right collaborator. “[Feid] says, ‘I know you’ve thought of thousands of people and no one fits but … are you gonna let me get on that song?’” Karol recounts.”
She also mentioned in another interview that Feid was a part of the process making a track on the album: “‘Papasito’ is my baby, I love that song because the song was first made completely in Spanish and then one day when I was with Salo (Feid) he started singing and said: ' I wanna be with you,' and at that moment I realized it was a very good idea.” Clearly, the couple had been spending a lot of time with one another.
July 2025: Karol and Feid go on vacation
Mid-2025 seemed like Feid and Karol were on a high-note with their relationship. The couple was seen in Spain out on the water enjoying themselves. After years of tours, projects, and relationship drama, both artists enjoyed a well-earned vacation.
October 2025: Breakup rumors circulate
Rumors randomly started spawning in late 2025 that the two stars had broken up. Almost exactly 4 years to the month, it seems that people in both Karol and Ferxxo’s respective camps suggested both stars had split—even though much of 2025 seemed to be like a good year for their relationship.
January 2026: According to TMZ, Feid and Karol G have broken up
A report from TMZ on January 19th stated “sources close to both artists tell TMZ ... the Latin music superstars quietly ended their relationship a few months ago amid ongoing speculation.” The relationship had already been rumored to have ended months ago, but it seems that the Reggaeton stars have confirmed the mutual choice. They also are reported to have broken up amicably, and the stars are still on good terms.
