Karol G is a Reebok girl. It’s official: the Latin music superstar has signed to the 131-year-old footwear brand. It’s something that means a lot to her, because she grew up wearing Reebok and says she even used to dream about the sneakers.
The partnership between Karol G and Reebok is a multi-year deal, but the details of the collaboration and partnership are not fully known at the time.
"Wearing Reeboks became a huge thing when I was at school, especially this Classic version. Having a pair felt like everything. I remember dreaming about them, imagining how it would feel to finally wear them and show them off," she says.
Karol G says her favorite Reebok sneaker is the Freestyle Hi. She also says that Daddy Yankee’s collaboration with Reebok in the 2000s had a big impact on her, and that she sees her partnership with the brand as a continuation of that legacy. We had a chance to get some answers from Karol about it all.

What’s your first memory of wearing Reebok?

What can we expect from the Reebok partnership? Sneakers?
This partnership goes beyond sneakers. It’s about storytelling, culture, and evolution. It’s rooted in style, movement, and music. I’m excited to have Reebok alongside me during some major moments in the year ahead.
I can’t share too many details yet, but the Reebok x Karol G collaboration will be launching in the coming seasons. We’re already deep in conversations about design, and I’m loving every part of the process.
Have you had any conversations with Shaq about Reebok?
Not yet, but now that I’m officially part of the Reebok family, I’m sure we’ll connect soon. It would be an honor.
What’s your favorite Reebok sneaker and why?
My favorite ones are the high tops [Freestyle Hi]. They’re classic, they go with everything, and they remind me of my school days. I’ve been wearing them a lot lately, and it’s beautiful how many people come up to me and say that seeing those shoes brings back really special memories for them. That connection means a lot to me.
Do you remember the Daddy Yankee Reeboks?
Of course … how could I forget? I was around 15 or 16 when they came out. That era was major. Daddy Yankee was defining a moment in reggaeton and Latin pop culture worldwide. It’s incredible to think that 20 years later, I’m now doing my own partnership with Reebok. It feels like a beautiful continuation of that legacy.
