Kanye West Reportedly Signs Deal With Gamma to Release ‘Bully’ Album

Soon after taking out an ad in 'The Wall Street Journal' and giving a 'Vanity Fair' interview reflecting on his behavior, the artist signed a distribution deal for his next full-length project, set to release on March 20, 2026.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has reportedly put pen to paper, signing a distribution deal for his latest full-length project with Gamma, a distribution company founded in 2023 by music mogul Larry Jackson.

According to Rolling Stone, Ye has confirmed that the project is set for release on March 20, 2026, after being delayed multiple times over the years.

Per its website, Gamma is a “modern media and technology enterprise” that works with artists like Usher, Sexyy Red, Mariah Carey, and Snoop Dogg, as well as athletes like Stephen Curry on partnerships such as his deal with Under Armour.

Kanye, known for releasing and then tweaking his albums, had initially released the project and even had an accompanying short film starring his son, Saint West, which had some creative contributions from director Hype Williams.

Regardless, many fans were disappointed with the project, as much of the vocals were confirmed to be AI by Ye himself on X, saying, “ALBUM NOT FINISHED AND HALF THE VOCALS AI.”

As Ye revealed in his interview with Justin LaBoy, in the same interview Ye showed how he could have someone else rap the lyrics and put an AI filter on it to make it sound like his own. Kanye claimed, “It’s the new version of sampling,” and that previous developments in music were met with the same backlash.

However, in a recent statement from the beginning of the year, Kanye’s team, specifically Peter Jideonwo, Juice WRLD’s former manager, came out and explicitly expressed that there would be no AI on this project on January 3.

All of this arrives after Ye went on a downward spiral, releasing a song called “HH” (short for Heil Hitler), selling swastika T-shirts, and spewing other antisemitic behavior in 2025. Now, it seems Kanye has had a change of heart and will perhaps express this on the re-release of his album Bully.

According to the report, Ye completed the album prior to releasing his apology to the Jewish community through The Wall Street Journal on January 26. The apology was a lengthy expression of Ye’s self-reflection on his actions over the past few months, which have been defined by antisemitism and other expressions of hate. In the apology, he acknowledged the root cause of the behavior and his real feelings.

He talked about his near-fatal car accident back in 2001, which was the event that created his track “Through the Wire,” as his jaw was fractured and required a brace. “Twenty-five years ago, I was in a car accident that broke my jaw and caused injury to the right frontal lobe of my brain. At the time, the focus was on the visible damage-the fracture, the swelling, and the immediate physical trauma. The deeper injury, the one inside my skull, went unnoticed,” he stated.

He also expressed his apologies to the Jewish community, saying, “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did, though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

After the WSJ apology, Ye then did an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair on January 27. Ye did the interview with Dr. Bennet Omalu, a Nigerian-American physician and neuropathologist.

Most notably from the conversation, Ye expressed that this apology was not a PR move to get back in people’s good graces. “It’s my understanding that I was in the top 10 most listened-to artists overall in the US on Spotify in 2025, and last week and most days as well. My upcoming album, Bully, is currently one of the most anticipated pre-saves of any album on Spotify too. My 2007 album, Graduation, was also the most listened-to and streamed hip-hop album of 2025. This, for me, as evidenced by the latter, isn’t about reviving my commerciality. This is because these remorseful feelings were so heavy on my heart and weighing on my spirit.”

It seems Ye is actually trying to rebuild everything he destroyed during his “manic episode” at the beginning of 2025. As of now, Bully is scheduled for release on March 20. Hopefully, Ye follows through on that promise, as well as the many others he made in statements this week.
