Not long after Lil Uzi Vert delivered the video for “Chanel Boy,” the rapper shared the visual for his new song, “Relevant,” on Monday (Nov. 24).
The track, produced by Trillion, Rima, and Trilla, marks the second song released in a single day as part of the Philadelphia native’s new chapter as an independent artist.
The video, produced by SeeworldTurtle, sees Uzi showing off their best fits as usual, this time draped in brands including Balenciaga, Chrome Hearts, and Miu Miu.
Uzi revealed they’ve signed with Roc Nation Distribution, will now "fully own their masters," and have also inked a deal with Roc Nation Publishing. Uzi is now one of just three artists to be both managed by Roc Nation and signed to Roc Nation Distribution, joining Jay-Z and Rihanna.
“Uzi is a global icon and a dynamic force in the music industry, so we’re thrilled to work together with them in this new capacity.” Roc Nation Distribution President Krystian Santini said in a statement shared with Complex. “Our partnership is centered around empowering Uzi to continue building their legacy, with full creative control and the resources to take their artistry to new heights.”
Eternal Atake 2, Uzi’s most recent studio album, was released through Generation Now and Atlantic Records last year. A sequel to 2020’s acclaimed Eternal Atake, which was partially inspired by Heaven’s Gate, the album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
