Anderson .Paak spoke on Mac Miller's status as a "legend" at the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards.
"Legends never die. Legends never die," he said. "And Mac Miller not was, but is a whole legend."
.Paak said that the late rapper "did more in 26 years than some of y'all could do in three lifetimes." The Malibu artist continued by saying that Miller inspired him and a whole wave of others.
"Mac Miller was a humble rock star, he was a rapper's rapper, he was a[n] actor, a comedian, a musical genius [...] Mac Miller was a brother, he was my friend," he said. "I loved him and I still love him."
.Paak closed out the tribute with a shout-out of Mac's arts education-funding foundation, The Mac Miller Circle Fund.
"This fund speaks to the man that Mac is," .Paak said, adding that the fund along with Miller's music will ensure that the rapper lives on forever.
