Taemin is making history at the Grammy Museum as the first K-pop soloist to have his stage outfits and personal artifacts featured in a dedicated exhibit.
The Grammy Museum will open “TAEMIN: Performer. Artist. Icon.” on April 1, 2026, making him the first K-pop soloist to receive such recognition from the Los Angeles institution, according to Billboard.
The exhibit runs through May 25, 2026, and showcases elements of his stage presence, including the red-and-black outfit from his Ephemeral Gaze World Tour, the all-white ensemble from his Veil concert and The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2025, his customized in-ear monitors, white stage microphone, official lightstick, and a handwritten note to fans.
“Each performance is a story I share with my fans. These outfits and artifacts hold memories of those moments on stage,” Taemin, 32, said in a statement. “I hope visitors can feel the passion and love for music that has guided my journey. I'm truly honored to have my stage outfits displayed at the Grammy Museum."
Taemin's career began in 2008 when the 14-year-old debuted with SHINee under SM Entertainment. The group quickly rose to success with hits like “Replay,” “Lucifer,” “Ring Ding Dong,” “Sherlock (Clue + Note),” and “View.”
Taemin launched his solo career in 2014 with Ace, his first of seven solo entries on Billboard’s World Albums chart, and has accumulated 15 hits on World Digital Song Sales, including last year's "Veil," which reached No. 3 on the chart, matching the 2016 peak of "Press Your Number."
His 2017 single "Move" is his most-viewed YouTube video and inspired the viral "Move Disease" dance craze, which predated TikTok.
Taemin is also part of the unit group SuperM, whose self-titled debut EP reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Grammy Museum curator Kelsey Goelz said in a statement, “Taemin is a truly influential artist whose impact extends far beyond the stage. His distinctive performances, innovative style and artistic vision have helped shape the global rise of K-pop. We're honored to showcase these iconic stage outfits and artifacts that celebrate his artistry and cultural impact.”
After his Ephemeral Gaze World Tour, which included sold-out dates in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe, Taemin began 2026 with a sold-out headlining concert in Las Vegas and signed with Galaxy Corporation, the same label representing G-Dragon, ahead of his first major U.S. festival performance at Coachella 2026.
Tickets for the “TAEMIN: Performer. Artist. Icon.” exhibit are available through the Grammy Museum.
