Sheff G has claimed that he's being subjected to inhumane treatment in prison and is urging fans to intervene on his behalf.

Through a series of messages shared to his Instagram Story on Wednesday (November 19), the 27-year-old rapper, who is currently behind bars at the Marcy Correctional Facility in Brooklyn, has alleged that officials are violating his rights.

"Marcy Correctional Facility is holding me and kicking me out general population and putting me in the handicap dorm," he wrote. "It's against my rights and they threatening me about being a rapper. They took all my shit, cuffed me for 2 hours outside in the cold with no reason and no explanation. I NEED HELP RESPECTFULLY."

Sheff followed up with another post, reading: "Right now l've been improperly placed in a medical handicap dorm that is only reserved for people with medical needs and approved accommodations.

"There are people who are sick, people who have lost control to bowel movement so they are 💩'n in the beds and all in the shower and some people are to filling piss in a bottle and throwing it in the same sink they are telling to brush our teeth and wash our face."

"This is inhumane and unjust," he added, before encouraging fans to call the prison to complain.

Sheff G began serving a five-year sentence on October 1 after pleading guilty to attempted murder and conspiracy charges earlier in the year. After completing his sentence, he will face five years of supervised release.

Ahead of Sheff's sentencing, his supporters urged leniency, citing his community work. Letters sent on behalf of the rapper included one from Allen DeWane, CEO of Acuity Productions, who praised the rapper's outreach to at-risk youth and highlighted his participation in anti-violence events, including a speech at the United Nations' Barbados consulate.

Sheff G's attorney Arthur Aidala told FOX 5 NY's Lisa Evers that the rapper could have been facing decades behind bars but his sentence was reduced to five years.
