Selena Gomez is going viral for a new video showing her rapping to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
A video of the Rare singer surfaced on Saturday (Jan. 31), rapping along to Dot’s Drake diss track, released at the height of their feud in mid 2024.
The video in question was shared on Instagram by Theresa Mingus, a close friend of Gomez’s who once worked as the star’s executive assistant.
The clip appears to have been taken following an event for the launch of Gomez’s Rare Beauty at Ulta Beauty on Saturday (Jan. 31) in El Segundo, California.
Selena’s rendition comes nearly a year after Dot swept the 2025 Grammy Awards. “Not Like Us” won all five of its nominations, which included Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
What has Selena Gomez said about Drake in the past?
In a 2013 interview with The TJ Show, a female listener told Selena that her boyfriend calls Selena his "guilty pleasure" and refers to her as his baby. Selena said she was flattered and joked that she does the same thing with Drake by pretending his public actions are meant for her.
When host TJ suggested she could “get someone” like Drake, Selena joked, “I mean this in the nicest way: I just don't have a big enough butt for Drake.”
While speaking to Billboard’s Pop Shop Podcast in 2015, Gomez shared her enthusiasm about the “Hotline Bling” rapper by saying, “I love him” while joking that “he has not hit me up.”
After Gomez’s ex Justin Bieber appeared to lip sync her name in Drake's “Popstar” music video in 2020, a source told People that rumors of Gomez making a cameo were untrue, stating she was never approached and had no plans to appear in the video.
