Nine Vicious is pushing back on Young Thug's claim that Thugger re-signed him to YSL.
On Saturday (June 20) during a livestream with PlaqueBoyMax, Young Thug insisted that Nine Vicious was still part of his roster despite months of speculation.
While addressing rumors that the rapper had left YSL, Thug told viewers, “Nine Vicious is signed to me. I seen some things on the Internet a few months ago. They was like, 'Oh, Nine Vicious is not signed to Thug no more.’ I re-signed him and I gave him some millions."
After the clip of Thug's comments made the rounds online, Vicious posted a one-word reaction to an Instagram news account that shared the video.
“Capppyyyyyiaannnaaa,” the 23-year-old wrote.
It was widely-believed that Vicious signed a deal with Thugger’s YSL in early 2025, according to Our Generation Music.
However, in September 2025, Vicious made comments on social media that fans interpreted as confirmation that his relationship with the label had ended.
In one exchange, a fan quote-tweeted a post from Nine with "big ysl sht," which led the rapper to reply, "for nothing."
A day later, screenshots of an alleged direct message conversation surfaced in which a fan asked about his YSL status.
Nine answered, "No," before adding, "FNYVL though. For sure," and "Everything fake about this industry."
Away from the stream, Thug also expressed interest in working with the newly-independent Kodak Black in a post shared early Sunday morning.
"If he would do a deal with me, I would give that boy whateva he think he want #NoCizzy,” he wrote.
Nine Vicious released his album EMOTIONS in April under Create Music Group.
