Nicki Minaj is being accused of shortchanging a production company out of more than $275,000.
According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, 24/7 Productions first worked with the 43-year-old rapper on the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards to provide live entertainment production services.
In late 2023, the company says Minaj asked them to assist with her concerts at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball and her album launch for Pink Friday 2.
The company claims it provided budgets to Minaj’s team, which were approved, and delivered advance planning, on-site management, staffing, audio, lighting, rigging, ground transportation, and overall logistics.
24/7 Productions says it advanced more than $275,000 to Minaj for expenses that were to be repaid and notes that Minaj's company, Pink Friday Productions, received around $650,000 for her Jingle Ball performances alone but never settled the bill with 24/7.
The company claims it tried to collect the money for years, but Minaj's team reportedly responded with "We'll look into this."
Although the rapper herself has yet to respond to the lawsuit via social media, Alex Bruesewitz, a senior advisor to Donald Trump and friend to Minaj, denied TMZ’s report on Monday night (March 23).
“Another day, another TMZ lie about @NICKIMINAJ,” Bruesewitz, 29, wrote on his X account. “This is completely false!”
24/7 Productions is suing for breach of contract and more, seeking damages exceeding $275,000.
Minaj’s sixth studio album, nicknamed NM6 by fans, was originally announced to be released on March 27, 2026. However, the rapper shared last month that she “won’t be releasing an album until my contract is renegotiated” and until details about an alleged “sabotage” attempt from Billboard was uncovered.
