Drake will be flying the friendly skies more luxuriously than ever thanks to his newly-renovated “Air Drake” jet.
In a new video shared to his Instagram on Sunday (July 20), Drizzy gave fans a tour of the revamped $185 million Boeing 767 aircraft.
“When I first got my plane, I was in this hangar. It's, like, probably one of the craziest moments of my life. I actually didn't believe it until AJ told me, ‘I'm gonna get you the biggest jet in the game out of anybody, like, it'd be like you and the president, that's it,’” said the 38-year-old rapper in a voiceover.
Drake showed fans his bedroom, or the “most important room off the rip,” with its own en suite. Plus, he previewed the main lounge, filled with luxury pillows and seats, a gambling center, and a movie screening area.
According to Page Six, Drake was gifted the plane in 2019 for free through a deal with Cargojet and, at the time, it featured a custom paint job by the late designer Virgil Abloh.
“It used to be old and pink,” Drake says about the jet’s former aesthetic. “We decided to make it, like, more luxurious, warmer.”
The rapper’s “100 Gigs” content dump released last year also revealed pitch decks and reference imagery for Air Drake before settling for Abloh’s cloud paint job. Plans for a second aircraft, called Air Drake 2, were also revealed.
