Cassie Ventura quietly left the United States following legal settlements from Sean "Diddy" Combs, and she has no intention of returning.
In a court declaration dated May 1, 2026 and reviewed by Complex, the 39-year-old states, "I reside outside of the United States” and elsewhere “I do not intend to move back to the United States."
The document also specifies that Ventura is a U.S. citizen but is not a current resident of California. Although TMZ reports that it’s unclear where Ventura is currently living, her declaration states it would be easier to attend court and legal proceedings in New York, where her legal team resides, instead of California.
The filing is connected to her ongoing California lawsuit brought by male escort Clayton Howard, in which he alleges he was hired by Diddy and Ventura for "freak-offs," where he allegedly contracted an STD. Howard also claims that he fathered a pregnancy with Ventura that ended in an abortion.
Howard has also been described as one of seven escorts who cooperated with prosecutors in Diddy's criminal case and alleges he suffered physical and psychological harm from what he describes as sexual abuse.
Ventura is reported to have moved abroad after receiving a combined payout of roughly $30 million, including about $20 million from Sean "Diddy" Combs in a settlement over alleged abuse, with an additional roughly $10 million from the the InterContinental Los Angeles Century hotel after security footage emerged showing Diddy beating her in a hallway.
Cassie's response to Howard's suit also alleges he sent a message to her husband Alex Fine in 2023 after she first came forward with allegations against Diddy, which read, "I know your wife's truth is 100% valid as I'm sure you did as well, I would have come forward and I'm glad she got some form of Justice!"
The alleged message continued, "A lot of what I saw really bothered me and because homie was fucked up. But I knew she was in love and wouldn't leave despite being beaten up and punch in the chest in hotel rooms, choked and forced into shit I don't wanna embarrass anyone with, I'm dam happy you saved her. ... I'm glad she got something probably not near what she deserves."
Ventura was pregnant and living in New York last summer when she testified in Diddy's federal criminal trial. According to People, she welcomed her third child, a boy, with husband Alex Fine on May 28, 2025—just two weeks after giving her testimony.
