The album takes its name from "Arirang," a traditional Korean folk song long associated with Korean identity, longing, separation, and reunion, as explained by Forbes.
Suga and J Hope are credited on multiple songs including "Body to Body," "Merry Go Round," and "Normal," while Jimin worked on "they don't know 'bout us" and "Into the Sun." V contributed to "2.0" and "Into the Sun," and Jung Kook helped create four tracks including "Hooligan."
Following the album's release, BTS will launch a world tour beginning April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, with U.S. dates starting in Tampa, Florida, and concluding in California in September. Fans who subscribe to Netflix will also be able to watch BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG on March 21 in addition to a documentary titled BTS: THE RETURN on March 27.
A live concert film, BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG,' will hit theaters in April.
BTS’ ARIRANG album arrives on March 20.
