Dr. Ben Carson, despite just releasing an impassioned video message for all his reality-obsessed haters, has finally admitted his bid for presidency likely has "no political path forward." However, though such a sentiment sounds a lot like giving up, Carson isn’t quite ready to cash that reality check just yet.
"I do not see a political path forward in light of last evening’s Super Tuesday primary results," Carson said in a statement on Wednesday, as quoted by the New York Times. "However, this grassroots movement on behalf of 'We the People' will continue." Insisting that his decision (it's kind of not really a full-on "decision" though?) has nothing to do with finances, Carson thanked his supporters from "all corners of America" for their contributions.
Carson, who also confirmed he will skip an upcoming debate in Detroit, is set to provide more details (quitting details?) regarding his campaign on Friday. However, as anyone who had the distinct pleasure of viewing and/or meticulously sharing Carson's aforementioned "Dear Haters" clip, all of this may come as a bit of a shock:

Super Tuesday brought little in the way of encouragement for Carson and his supporters, as leading Republican candidate Donald Trump scored a potentially party-ruining seven states against Ted Cruz's three. Carson, following an abysmal showing in Iowa, hovered near the fourth and fifth positions in most states on Tuesday. Given Carson's recent declaration that a spot as Trump's theoretical Vice President would be of interest to him, the retired brain surgeon has possibly been looking for a way out for months now.
