A group of Chick-fil-A employees say they were all let go after they appeared in a TikTok video that quickly gained millions of views online.
The video, posted in late March, showed members of a night-shift crew dancing inside the restaurant to “Wanna Mingle (feat. Deediephat Da Godmother)” by Mvntana, Nasi Wonder, and Vybez Music Group.
Captioned “my CFA crew better than yours,” the clip spread rapidly, racking up millions of views and drawing attention across social media.
Days later, the creator returned with an update, claiming that the group involved in the video, eight employees in total, had been fired.
“We got fired. Every single last one of us got fired,” the creator said, explaining that the video was filmed after closing and that no customers were present at the time. “It’s a Chick-fil-A, but it’s not a real deal Chick-fil-A. When I finished making the video, I posted it, right then and there. No one was in our establishment. We were closed."
According to the employee, he had coordinated the clip with co-workers during their shift and said everyone involved agreed to participate. He also claimed he was willing to remove the video if it caused any issues.
“The video got posted on Friday … and y’all hit me up on Sunday to let me know that I was fired,” he said.
While the specific location of the restaurant has not been officially confirmed, previous posts suggest the store may be connected to Tuskegee University in Alabama.
Other individuals who say they worked at the location have echoed the claim in online comments, supporting the account of a full-staff termination. Some social media users have questioned whether the punishment was too severe, suggesting disciplinary action short of firing may have been more appropriate.
“I mean a write up would’ve sufficed! I don’t think y’all should’ve gotten fired,” one person wrote. Another said, “I thought the video was a good advertisement tbh. Made me want some cfa but nvm now.”
As of now, Chick-fil-A has not publicly confirmed the firings or provided details about the incident. Requests for comment have been made, but no official response has been issued.
