When it comes to parenting advice, Ed Kelce is open about almost everything— except the "birds and the bees" talk.
On the latest episode of Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast on Wednesday, June 18, the brothers revealed that they never had "the talk" with their dad, a sentiment Ed himself confirmed.
"I never got any advice on sex from Dad," Jason, 37, admitted during the episode. "We never had the birds and the bees talk." Ed laughed and agreed, with Jason acknowledging that his dad had left that responsibility to the school system. "I lived without it, you can too," Ed quipped.
Despite lacking in the sex talk department, Ed was quick to share advice on relationships. Travis, 35, recalled how his dad would guide him through dating, advising him to simply “be her friend” if things weren’t progressing with a girl. "Just be cool with her. If she doesn’t like it, pretty girls all hang around pretty girls," he shared.
Jason recalled a similar conversation with Ed when he was in college, where his father encouraged him to focus on listening to women instead of talking too much. "All you gotta do is shut up and let them talk about themselves," Ed said with a grin. “You ain’t gotta say another word. Nod your head and say, ‘Oh wow, yeah, cool,’ add the comments in there to make her feel good. You don’t have to say nothing.”
It seems that both Kelce brothers are all set in the dating department, and turned out just fine. Jason is a proud father to four children with wife Kylie Kelce; Wyatt, 5, Eliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, who was born in March 2025. Travis, meanwhile, has been dating pop sensation Taylor Swift since 2023. As for Ed, he has been enjoying some time with Swift, attending Chiefs games and even joining her on the Eras Tour. Ed and the brother’s mom, Donna Kelce, split after the boys graduated college after being married for 25 years.
