During Friday’s episode of the misSpelling podcast, Tori Spelling and her co-host Amy Sugarman had a candid conversation about Spelling’s struggle to keep an organized home in the wake of her split from her ex-husband Dean McDermott.
Sugarman held nothing back when confronting Spelling about the state of her home, even going as far as to say that it’s at a “borderline hoarder” level. She also suggested that Spelling’s disorganization and cluttered home could even be contributing to her physical health.
“Tori, this is not good,” she said, after Spelling showed her a picture of her living room, pointing out that her Christmas tree had not yet been taken down.
Spelling didn’t deny that she’s been feeling overwhelmed trying to take care of five children and keep up with housework following her split from McDermott.
Sugarman appeared shocked by the state of Spelling’s home.
“You can’t even sit there. Like, it’s borderline hoarder, I’m not gonna lie,” she said.
“Yeah, it’s all just sitting here in piles,” Spelling agreed.
Spelling went on to say that she has stopped inviting guests to her home due to the mess. She also acknowledged that when she and McDermott were still together, their home was always “presentable,” noting that “he wouldn’t live like that.”
Sugarman suggested that Spelling seek help getting her home back in order.
“I do think you need help. This is like, chaos. … I think it all contributes to why you could not work for two months,” she said.
During the podcast, Spelling revealed that she recently battled a serious illness that left her unable to work for eight weeks.
Spelling and McDermott were married for nearly 18 years before calling it quits in June of 2023. Together they share custody of their five children, who range in age from 18-years-old to 8-years-old.
