Video of Dog Reuniting With Chew Toy After 5 Years Will Bring You Joy

As you almost certainly know, more videos on YouTube are miss than they are hit. And though the world tries to counterbalance the terrible with news-reading bloopers and adorable animal videos, there's only so much you can do, especially when the "prank" genre continues to exist.

That being said, there are still kernels of greatness that can be picked out from the heaps of trash that are voluntarily uploaded onto the site daily (looking your way, Tomi Lahren). For example, meet Finn. Finn is a dachshund from Charlottetown, Canada who has been separated from his favorite chew toy, a polka-dot pig, for the past five years. You may be asking yourself, just where exactly has this pig been for the past half-decade? Away on sabbatical? Shipwrecked at sea? Hidden under the damn couch?

Well, as it turns out, Finn is just too much of a tank for his own good. As a puppy he was able to chew on the pig to his heart's content. But as he got older his teeth got too strong, and he destroyed the toy (or, more likely, past versions of the toy) forcing his owners to take it away from him.

All of that led up to this heartwarming video because, after an agonizing amount of time apart, Finn finally got his chance to annihilate the pig once again, giving us all a moment of happiness as he hears what he believes to be squeaks from a defenseless animal toy. It's definitely the type of clip that'll make you feel good heading into the weekend.

Here's hoping Finn doesn't have to wait five more years for his next shot.
