Sex robots may actually both provide "mind blowing" satisfaction and help people improve their skills, according to the CEO of a sex doll manufacturer who spoke to the Daily Star. This year, a futurologist predicted women will have more sex with robots than men by 2025 and all human sex would be replaced by robots by 2050. But before you go replacing the human touch, weigh out the pros and cons of having sex with robots.
Matt McMullen, CEO of sex doll company RealDoll, told the Daily Star his dolls weren’t meant to replace human to human sex, but rather were meant to enhance a person’s sex life. McMullen said the robot would give people more sexual practice, allow them to try new things, and last longer. McMullen compared practicing sex with the robot to a person who routinely goes to the gym and gets stronger.
The CEO also added they wanted the robot-to-human relationship to be more than sex. "In order for people to find themselves attracted to the A.I.—she's really funny, she makes me laugh, she has the same interests as me,” McMullen said. "So then blokes want to take it to the next level—to give them that feeling—'I'd really like to have sex with her'."
People will actually be able to have a conversation with the robots and possibly seduce it, McMullen said. It’ll cost, since a RealDoll sex doll goes for about $5,000. Those of you who have watched 2015’s haunting Ex Machina, though, know this can’t possibly end well.
