Ashlee Jenae was found dead in April, and now more details surrounding her death have come to light.

According to TMZ, the influencer (real name Ashly Robinson) was struggling with depression, prompting her to ask ChatGPT questions about how to end her life prior to her death.

Zanzibar Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Zuberi Chembera revealed in a video that, during their investigation, they uncovered ChatGPT searches from Jenae, who apparently asked in March: "How much Valium would kill me?"

Chembera also shared text messages Jenae sent to family and friends about her depression, with some reading like goodbye messages.

Authorities previously confirmed that the 31-year-old content creator died by suicide in early April while vacationing at a luxury resort in Zanzibar. Days before her death, her fiancé Joe McCann proposed to her on a safari.

A hotel employee found Jenae unresponsive in her villa, where she had fashioned a noose out of a robe belt. She was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on April 9. Her cause of death was ruled as cerebral hypoxia caused by strangulation and suffocation.

McCann was initially questioned by police, who also withheld his passport. While, at one point, his involvement in her death was unclear, he hasn’t been accused of any wrongdoing, and he has not been charged with a crime. However, her parents appear not to be happy with him, barring him from attending her funeral on May 5.

"I miss [Ashlee] every moment of every day, and the pain of being without her will never go away. A sudden loss of this magnitude is not something I can simply get over," McCann told TMZ on Thursday (June 4).
