A familiar face from Australian reality TV is taking a very different route after her time on screen.

Kate Laidlaw, who appeared on season nine of Married at First Sight: Australia, has launched an OnlyFans account—alongside her twin sister, Bec.

Laidlaw was matched with Matt Ridley during her run on the show, but the relationship didn’t last, and the pair chose to leave the experiment early.

During her time on MAFS, Laidlaw was open about her lack of dating experience prior to filming, a detail that became part of her on-screen storyline.

Once the season wrapped, she stepped away from reality TV and began reshaping how she wanted to present herself publicly.

That shift eventually led to OnlyFans. In a post announcing the launch, Laidlaw explained that her reality TV experience had left her hesitant to be seen authentically.

“After my MAFS experience, I found myself lacking in confidence and afraid to show the real me due to fear of judgment,” she wrote. “The show portrayed a character that I felt did not reflect who I truly am as a person.”

According to Laidlaw, the platform offers a chance to take control of that narrative. She described the account as “the unedited version” of herself and said it allows her to explore different sides of her personality outside the confines of a TV edit.

Because she spends most of her time with Bec, bringing her twin sister into the project felt natural. “Together we will be bringing double the fun,” she added.

Beyond social media, both women are clinical nutritionists and co-run a health and wellness business, which they plan to incorporate into their online presence.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Laidlaw admitted the decision wasn’t instant. “We were a bit scared to do it at first,” she said, explaining that repeated interest from followers ultimately pushed them to move forward.

She also noted that their content blends fitness, confidence, and playful appeal, shaped by what fans respond to most.

For Laidlaw, the move is less about shock value and more about autonomy. “It feels like a platform where I can be myself and show people more about me,” she said. “It feels empowering and has helped Bec and I build so much confidence in ourselves.”
