Despite its reputation, building a lucrative career on OnlyFans isn’t as simple as uploading content and watching the money roll in. According to top creator Tiffany Wisconsin, the difference between average earners and six-figure creators comes down to one thing: knowing how to sell.
Wisconsin, who began using the platform several years ago, currently earns upward of $100,000 per month and says consistent upselling is the real engine behind her success.
“It’s all up to how you’re selling your content,” she explained in an interview with Mashable. “You could do solo stuff. As long as you know how to sell it, if you can upsell.”
While Wisconsin now produces explicit adult content, she emphasized that high earnings don’t require extreme material. In fact, she believes many creators underestimate the earning power of solo content when paired with smart pricing strategies.
Rather than relying solely on subscriptions, she generates significant revenue from personalized add-ons, including custom videos, sexting, and exclusive messages, all offered at an additional cost. “I do a lot of upselling, and that will make a huge difference,” she said.
Promotion is another critical factor. Since OnlyFans lacks a built-in search function, creators must rely heavily on external platforms to grow their audience.
Wisconsin posts daily on Instagram, TikTok, X, and other social platforms, using provocative, reaction-driven content to draw attention. “Rage bait seems to work the best for me,” she said, noting that posts designed to spark emotional responses often convert viewers into subscribers.
One viral example involved a fictional story about a man going broke because of her, which unexpectedly introduced Wisconsin to the financial domination niche. “I just made it up,” she said. “I got so many views and so many subscribers.” While the response was unintentional at first, she leaned into it once she realized it resonated with paying fans.
Social media experimentation also helped Wisconsin identify her core audience. After posting content geared toward older men and seeing strong engagement, she refined her brand positioning for that demographic. “It just comes so easy to me now, because people know I’m the girl that films with older men,” she said, adding that the majority of her subscribers fall into that category.
