President Donald Trump responded to a worker who appeared to yell "pedophile protector" at him.
On Tuesday (June 13), Trump toured the Ford F-150 plant at the Detroit Economic Club before giving a speech. As seen in a video obtained by TMZ, an individual was heard shouting at the president while walking the factory floor in the midst of his tour.
It's difficult to decipher the full sentence the individual shouted, but TMZ reports that it included the words "pedophile protector."
The worker seemed to be referencing Trump's association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the Department of Justice's slow release of the Epstein files.
TMZ’s video shows Trump responding by yelling down at the worker. Although his exact words are not audible, the outlet claims he said “Fuck you.”
Moments later, Trump appeared to flip the worker off.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung told the outlet, "A lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage, and the President gave an appropriate and unambiguous response."
Trump has been fielding similar comments as recently as Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, where Mark Ruffalo called the president a "pedophile" and criticized ICE while on the red carpet.
TMZ also noted that the Trump administration's slow pace in releasing the Epstein files has led some online to believe that the president is forcing the Department of Justice to hide alleged incriminating information from the public.
Trump has previously denied all wrongdoing, sticking by his story that he stopped talking to Epstein after Epstein supposedly poached several of his massage therapists.
