Mark Ruffalo called President Donald Trump a "pedophile" and criticized ICE while on the Golden Globes red carpet.

During the event on Sunday (Jan. 11), the Task star spoke to USA Today about his reason for wearing a "Be Good" pin to the awards ceremony. The pin memorialized Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident who was shot and killed by an ICE agent on Wednesday.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security, and Trump have defended the shooting, with the latter claiming that Good attempted to run over the agent with her vehicle.

In the interview, Ruffalo accused Vice President JD Vance of "lying" about the fatal incident. The actor also called Trump a "convicted felon" and "convicted rapist."

"He's a pedophile. He's the worst human being. If we're relying on this guy's
morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we're all in a lot of trouble," Ruffalo continued.

"So, this is for her. This is for the people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I'm one of them. I love this country. And what I'm seeing here happening is not America," he said.

Good's death sparked ICE protests across the country, while a GoFundMe supporting Good's widow, Becca, and their 3-year-old son achieved $1.5 million.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Police Chief Brian O'Hara have questioned the agent's actions during the incident, with the latter sharing concerns that ICE's continued presence in the city could risk public safety.

"The responsibility that police leadership has for the men and women of our department, as well as the larger community whenever something significant critical happens, is to take a look at the situation from an objective standpoint and say, 'OK, are we contributing to the problem, or ... are we employing practices or methods that are unjustifiably placing the men and women who work for us, as well as the community, unjustifiably at risk without actually having a public safety benefit?'" O'Hara told WCCO.
