Nika King has yet to appear in Euphoria’s buzzy third season, which premiered on HBO this past Sunday. But outside of television, she continues to advocate for her community.

Later this month. King will host the CASA/LA Reimagine Gala, benefitting youth in foster care and juvenile justice systems. CASA/LA and King revealed the news via their respective Instagram pages on Tuesday, April 14.

“I’m so excited to host CASA LA’s Reimagine Gala and be part of a night that celebrates hope, resilience, and the incredible impact of advocacy,” said King in a statment. “CASA is doing life-changing work for youth in foster care, and I’m honored to help bring more visibility to a mission that truly matters.”

CASA/LA aims to provide fund and resources for children in LA County’s foster care system. Over the past 14 years, the Reimagine Gala has been a staple in the foster community, being the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year.

On Euphoria, King plays Leslie Bennett, mother of Rue Bennett — the latter of whom suffers from drug addiction. In 2024, King starred in Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot. Based on true events, Sound of Hope tells the story of a couple coming to the aid of foster youth and adopting 77 children in East Texas. Off-screen, King and her mother own Blue Tree Cafe, a vegan soul food restaurant focused on healing through food. King is also the founder of Rose of Sharon, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing healthy, plant-based options to underserved communities.

CASA/LA’s Reimagine Gala will take place at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverley Hills, California on Thursday, April 30. King will also return as Leslie on Euphoria later in the ongoing third season.
