The NFL’s grand reveal will take place Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, but we have already been served some appetizers before the big feast tomorrow night. Below, we will take a look at everything we know so far about the 2026-27 NFL schedule.

Week 1
Wednesday, Sept. 9: TBD vs. Seattle Seahawks
The NFL has traditionally opened its season on a Thursday night, but for the first time since 2012 we will get a Wednesday night opener. This is to accommodate the first-ever NFL regular season game played in Australia, which will be broadcast in the US on Thursday night.

One tradition that hasn’t been broken here is the defending Super Bowl champions hosting the first game of the NFL season. The Seahawks’ opponent has not been officially named yet, but there was a ton of buzz yesterday that it would be a Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots. Barstool Sports’ Kirk Minihane tweeted on Tuesday that, “per sources” that it would be Seahawks vs. Patriots.

It would be somewhat surprising for the NFL to go this route as it would invite a circus with Mike Vrabel on National TV right out of the gate. Vrabel’s alleged affair with former NFL reporter Dianna Russini has dominated the headlines this off-season.

Perhaps Roger Goodell is banking on the story having died down by September. Maybe he doesn’t care. Or, maybe he thinks the off-field drama will actually benefit the opener in the form of big-time TV ratings.

On the field, expect Seattle to be favored by a touchdown or so if we do get this game for the opener.

Thursday, Sept. 10: LA Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers
You could actually call this a Friday game considering it will take place at 10:35 a.m. local time in Melbourne, Australia. Nonetheless, it will feature divisional rivals with Super Bowl aspirations. Fanatics Sportsbook has the Rams (+750) as the favorite to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February 2027. The 49ers are +1600 to win it all.

The Rams made big moves this off-season by trading for cornerback Trent McDuffie, and signing cornerback Jaylen Watson. Sean McVay’s club also drafted quarterback Ty Simpson with the 13th overall pick, although Matthew Stafford will surely be the starter for LA as long as he’s healthy.

San Francisco’s biggest move of the off-season was signing veteran WR Mike Evans.

LA is a -2.5 favorite over the 49ers for this neutral field game.

Sunday, Sept. 13: Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
The first Sunday Night Football showdown of the season will feature the Cowboys facing the Giants in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

There will be a ton of excitement surrounding Big Blue, as John Harbaugh will make his Giants coaching debut. We could also see the return of Malik Nabers (ACL) in this game, although that has not yet been confirmed.

Fanatics has the Cowboys as a -2.5 road favorite for this game.

Monday, Sept. 14: Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Despite a 6-11 record, their worst mark in 13 years, the Chiefs remain a box office attraction even without quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is unlikely to play after suffering an ACL tear last season. The Broncos will also be getting plenty of attention this season, as they look to take the next step in the Sean Payton era. Denver was one win away from making a Super Bowl appearance this past winter, but fell to the Patriots in a snowy AFC title game.

The Chiefs are -2.5 favorites at Fanatics for this matchup.

Week 2
Thursday, Sept. 17: Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills
The Bills will debut their brand new home, Highmark Stadium, on Thursday Night Football against the Lions.

Both teams had Super Bowl aspirations entering last season, but both came up short. Buffalo lost in the Divisional Round to the Broncos, and Detroit did not even make the postseason as it went 9-8.

Buffalo parted with longtime head coach Sean McDermott and replaced him with Joe Brady.

Brady’s Bills are -3 favorites against the Lions at Fanatics.

Week 3
Sunday, Sept. 27: Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys
This game will be played in Rio de Janeiro. Baltimore has been installed as a -2.0 favorite at Fanatics.

Week 4
Sunday, Oct. 4: Washington Commanders vs. Indianapolis Colts
The Commanders and Colts will face off in London in early October. Expect the Commanders to be narrow favorites of around -1.5.

Week 5
Sunday, Oct. 11: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Eagles and Jags will meet at Wembley Stadium in London, with Philly expected to be around a -1.5 favorite.

Week 6
Sunday, Oct. 18: Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The London Jaguars … I mean, the Jacksonville Jaguars will play this game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against the Texans. Houston will likely be around a -1.5 favorite.

Week 7
Sunday, Oct. 25: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints
The NFL’s International series will continue with this game being played in Stade de France, Paris. Expect the Steelers to be around a -1.5 favorite, with or without Aaron Rodgers as the announced starter at QB

Week 9
Sunday, Nov. 8: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons
This game will be played at Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, with Joe Burrow and the Bengals projected to be a -4.5 favorite.

Week 10
Sunday, Nov. 15: New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions
This clash will take place at FC Bayern Munich Stadium in Munich, with Detroit likely to be a slim -1.5 favorite.

Week 11
Sunday, Nov. 22: Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers
This international showdown will be held at Estadio Banorte in Mexico City. Look for the 49ers to be around a -3 favorite.

Week 12
Thursday, Nov. 26: Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
We already know one of the Thanksgiving Day matchups as the Eagles will play at the Cowboys. Expect Dallas to be around a +1.5 home underdog.

Other 2026-27 NFL schedule notes
The first-ever NFL Thanksgiving Eve game will be announced in the coming hours. That game will reportedly be a part of a package of games broadcast by Netflix.

The NFL will also once again broadcast a Black Friday game, and games are set to again be shown on Christmas, which falls on a Friday this year.
