After months of preparation and playoff drama, the NFL season is down to its final chapter.

According to USA Today, Super Bowl LX is officially set, with the Seattle Seahawks representing the NFC and the New England Patriots emerging from the AFC.

The championship game will cap the 2025 season in Santa Clara, California, with just 60 minutes separating one team from a title.

For New England, this trip adds yet another entry to a familiar résumé. The Patriots earned their spot by defeating the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game, continuing a postseason run defined by disciplined defense and consistency on the road. The win pushed New England to a perfect 9–0 road record this season, including the playoffs.

Defense has been the Patriots’ calling card throughout January. In earlier rounds, they overwhelmed opposing offenses, forcing turnovers in bunches and controlling tempo.

That formula held up against Denver, where New England once again dictated the game with pressure, takeaways, and field position. It will mark the franchise’s 12th Super Bowl appearance, the most by any team in league history.

Seattle’s path through the NFC looked very different but just as convincing. As the conference’s top seed, the Seahawks opened their postseason run after a wild-card bye and immediately made a statement.

They dismantled the San Francisco 49ers 41–6 in the divisional round, a performance that underscored their dominance on both sides of the ball.

The NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams proved more competitive on the scoreboard, ending in a 31–27 Seattle win. Still, the Seahawks maintained control throughout, answering every Rams push and closing out the game when it mattered most.

Seattle now heads to Santa Clara as one of the league’s most complete teams, chasing the second Super Bowl title in franchise history.

Super Bowl LX will be played at Levi’s Stadium, home of the 49ers, marking the venue’s second time hosting the NFL’s biggest game. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET, on February 8, with the broadcast airing on NBC.
