Balenciaga
Balenciaga is a luxury fashion brand founded in 1917 by Cristóbal Balenciaga in Spain, now headquartered in Paris. Renowned for pioneering sculptural silhouettes and precise tailoring, the brand gained a reputation under the creative director Demna. It became synonymous with oversized shapes, bold deconstruction, and a blend of streetwear aesthetics with high-fashion refinement. Balenciaga’s Demna has redefining modern luxury through pieces like the Triple S sneaker, Strike boot, towel skirts, and unconventional collabs with pop culture icons like The Simpsons. The brand is known for provocative designs that challenge traditional norms, combining technical innovation with cultural commentary in each collection. Demna stepped down from Balenciaga in March 2025 and was preceded by the current creative director, Pier Paolo Piccioli.
