Virgil Abloh took to his personal Instagram to reveal his upcoming sneaker collaboration between his Off-White label and Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. As spotted byHypebeast, the sneaker itself appears to be a homage to the classic Stan Smith with a few designer updates, of course.
The sneaker doesn’t stray too far from its predecessor but features a chunkier sole and black heel counter, and is finished off with a gold “COLETTE EDT” stamp. It’s safe to say this collaboration was a long time coming. Back in 2014, Abloh posted about his admiration of the Italian brand and even hinted at a possible project between the two.
An exclusive release is set for Jan 23 at Parsian retailer colette, but be sure to stay tuned as more details about the collaboration are revealed.
