Gosha Rubchinskiy Presents New 'DoublecheeseburgerVF' Collection at Dover Street Market

Gosha Rubchinskiy has never been shy about his affinity for today’s youth. Just last year, the fashion designer published a book of photos entitled “Youth Hotel,” which provided an intimate glimpse into the world of contemporary Russian youth. "It's interesting to see how people grow and what they do," he told i-D Magazine. "Some have become musicians, others artists, and if their work is interesting, I want to work with them. At times I feel like a teacher—it's interesting. But ultimately, I'm always learning from them." One of the revered designer's latest muses is Valentin Fufaev, a 16-year-old skater who is perhaps better known by his internet alias DoublecheeseburgerVF. With the guidance of the elder Rubchinskiy, Fufaev has created an exclusive collection for Dover Street Market and the Paris Trading Museum.

The collection is the first from the young Fufaev and was produced by the legendary label COMME des GARÇONS. While the debut range may be small in size, it certainly still packs quite the punch. A number of T-shirts and hoodies are available in a variety of colors and feature bold, gritty graphic prints. Additionally, the young skater-turned-designer produced a limited-edition zine that will also be available for purchase. If the clothing and zine weren't enough, Fufaev also produced and directed a short film. Not bad for a debut collection.
