For a new skate deck design benefiting the Tyre Nichols Skate Park in Sacramento, Union Los Angeles has enlisted the artistic talent of Sheila Bridges.
The limited edition deck, seen in greater detail below, incorporates a design from Bridges inspired by the artist’s Harlem Toile de Jouy wallpaper. As for how rare this run of decks will be, a press release reveals it will be limited to just 100 decks. Per Union founder Chris Gibbs, the deck serves as a way to both honor Nichols’ “too-short life” and further his legacy.
“Sheila and I hope that in our small way, we can continue to make the world aware about Tyre Nichols’ devastating, unnecessary death,” Gibbs said in a statement.
The deck is available now via the Union shop in Los Angeles and the label’s official site. See more below.
