Tierra Whack and Danny Ocean are the faces of a new artists-focused campaign from Cotopaxi, a brand known for taking a mindful approach to its business practices.

As announced Thursday, the brand’s Music for Good is part of a larger effort to make meaningful and lasting connections with artistic voices who align with their core principals. In a statement, Brad Hiranaga, Cotopaxi’s Chief Brand Officer, praised both artists as “forward-thinking ambassadors” who more than fit the bill for this campaign.

"Our focus on supporting and promoting musical artists aligns with the growing need for social and purposeful messaging through creative mediums like music that create connection and community,” Hiranaga said. “Danny and Tierra's dedication to philanthropy is evident in their proactive approach to addressing social issues and offering support through their platforms."

Ocean and Whack both have causes close to their heart. Ocean, for example, is known for his charity efforts in Venezuela . Whack, meanwhile, has maintained a philanthropic presence in her hometown of Philadelphia.

Paramount to this new campaign is the Cotopaxi Foundation, which is marking the Music for Good launch with a commitment of additional money set to be put toward nonprofit groups serving refugees. Meanwhile, this Saturday’s Global Citizen Festival in New York City sees Cotopaxi on board as a partner.
