Supreme has announced its donation of half a million dollars to multiple organizations focused on social justice.
The $500,000 will be distributed among Black Lives Matter, Equal Justice Initiative, Campaign Zero, and Black Futures Lab.
"The Black community has inspired and supported Supreme since day one … We stand in solidarity with the fight for justice and equality, and will continue to invest in the community," the company said on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Supreme shared a statement of solidarity in response to the nationwide protests brought on by the murder of George Floyd at the hands of police.
"Denying a person's humanity will turn blood into fire, love into rage, community into chaos," the company said. "We stand with everyone seeking justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all victims of police brutality."
The brand's previous charity-minded initiatives include dropping a Takashi Murakami collab t-shirt back in April in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. And as announced last month by Help USA, who annually assists an estimated 30,000 people facing poverty and homelessness, the shirt ultimately raised more than $1 million.
