Puma and Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat Collaborate on New Collection

The new collaborative collection, per Kimora Lee Simmons, is designed to be a "merging of two iconic brands," in this case: Puma and Baby Phat.

With the new Baby Phat and Puma collaboration, Kimora Lee Simmons was aiming to give fans “the merging of two iconic brands.”

This merging, as further detailed below, is played out in the form of a Puma Mayze in an all-leather upper and the Mayze Sandal boasting patterned details. Also featured in the collection, prices of which top out at $110, are everything from jackets to fitted tees.

“With the whole direction of fashion right now, and what’s quote unquote trending and the early 2000s and ‘90s street fashion, it just made sense,” Kimora tells Complex. “I also think this partnership is a strong one because it’s taking it back to a certain time in fashion and it’s the merging of two iconic brands and the combining of the cats if you would.”

Asked about the family-focused aspect of this new collection, Kimora noted the importance of hitting a “younger audience” with one’s work.

“It’s very important for us to reach a younger audience and they help out with that a lot,” Kimora said. “Some of the pieces are definitely more Aoki and others are more Ming Lee.”

Get a closer look at the new collection below, which will be available stating Aug. 17 via a variety of outlets including the official Puma site. The collection is also available via Foot Locker and Champs Sports.
