J. Cole and Dreamville Share Limited 'ROTD III' Merch Ahead of Album Release

Cole and company also have a new documentary on the horizon.

Dreamville's long-teased third entry in the Revenge of the Dreamers comp series now has an official release date. Monday afternoon, label co-founder J. Cole shared the news via his official Twitter account:

Cole's announcement of a July 5 release date also included a link to a presale page, complete with merch bundles including a digital album and hoodie combo for $65 and a simple LP and digital album combo for $40.

The project came together at Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta this January, with the Dreamville team giving Seattle videographer Chase Fade inside access to their creative process.

"If you pop in one room and they're making trap music, you pop in another room and they're making some R&B, pop in another room and they're making some soulful stuff. You never know," Fade told Complex of the experience.

Featured artists on the new comp include Ty Dolla Sign, Ari Lennox, Young Nudy, and more. Cole and company are also releasing a David Peters-directed documentary on YouTube this week chronicling the sessions:
