After a record-breaking opening weekend, it's confirmed: The iPhone 6S and 6 Plus are responsible for Apple's most profitable opening weekend. With a tagline like "The only thing that's changed is everything," the opportunities to flex on your squad are plentiful. Apple is going all the way in this time around, why shouldn't you? We've spent some time with the rose gold 6S, naturally, and have determined the best ways to apply all the new features to your life and flex accordingly.
It's got the strongest screen ever.
In addition to the 7000 series aluminum used to prevent "Bend Gate" part two, the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are using the strongest glass Apple has ever used on one of their mobile devices. Ever. While we haven't actively tried to crack our screens, they've lasted through two weekends so far. And we all know that the pristine screen just looks better than the cracked versions your friends can barely read texts from.
More megapixels = Better 'grams.
Instagram truthfully provides the greatest opportunity to flex in front of a lot of people with minimal effort. With all of your photos taken with the upgraded 12 megapixel camera or the 5 megapixel front camera, strug-quality images on your IG grid are a thing of the past.
Live Photos let you stunt on a new level.
The new iPhone offers "Live Photos," which lets the shutter keep recording a second before and after the camera button is pushed. The result are cool, gif-like motions that are sort of like the portraits in the Harry Potter series. They're halfway between video and still image, but with the quality of the original photo preserved. It's ideal to show off details, like the zipper on the Acronym Air Force 1s. Facebook has already implemented these for profile pics, and more platforms will eventually be able to accept these awesome new images.
4K video on your phone means super high-quality vids.
With 4K video capabilities on the iPhone 6S and 6 Plus, you may as well shoot a film on your phone. iMovie got an update too, so not only can you fully edit 4K footage and add text and music, but you can create films with two stacked 4K videos in one frame.
Selfies look better than ever.
Similar to Mac's Photo Booth selfie (which we know are the best), the new Retina Flash for the improved front screen camera (1.2 to 5 megapixels) makes your phone screen act as a flash. Between the brightness to give you proper light and the direct access from the homescreen via the new 'Peek' function, you can get those late night selfies real quick.
Do everything faster than everyone with 3D touch.
Get that fire tweet off faster. Drop that 'gram faster. Take that selfie faster. Cop that last minute flight faster. Shazam that track faster. 3D touch eliminates a few clicks and is already available on third party apps stunt faster than the squad.
"Rose Gold" is the must-cop colorway.
Out of all the new colors, Rose Gold is definitely the most hyped. The pinkish metallic hue may have caused some confusion about the name, but that hasn't stemmed its popularity amongst dudes, who have taken to dubbing the color bro's gold.
