intro
Born in 1979, Mikael Kennedy lives and works in New York City. As author of the internationally acclaimed Polaroid travel blog: Passport to Trespass, Kennedy's helped revived interest in a dying method of image capturing. His manipulation of the medium isn't lost to galleries either. Kennedy has shown at the historic Chelsea Hotel in New York City and at the International Polaroid Symposium in Cardiff, Wales (where he was also a guest lecturer. Most impressively, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston recently added several of Kennedy's works to its permanent collection.
Represented by Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art Gallery, Kennedy's photos have also appeared in Nylon, Dazed & Confused, and Cosmopolitan.
This week, Kennedy released the final two volumes of Passport to Trespass. The set is limited to 100 copies and printed in 5.5x8.5 size (order here).
To celebrate the Kennedy's latest offerings, we take a look at his most recent Polaroid photographs.
