The Best Street Style Spots on the Planet

You can try to deny it all you want. You can say "man, I'm doing this for me!" But inside, you really know: You hope that photographers like Scott Schuman or Tommy Ton strolling through your hood with eyes wide open, amazed by your awesome style and ready to toss you up on their street style blog. But, unfortunately, these guys don't normally trek to the middle of nowhere, so if you want to be seen, you're gonna have have to go to them.

We scoured enough street style photos and noticed some key spots where the top dog photographers hang out, ready to capture all of the awesome style taking place. From New York to Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo, there's definitely a ton of globetrotting involved. But hey, those 15 seconds of Internet fame are TOTALLY worth it. Where it is: New York, NY
What to wear: BWGH sweatshirts; Baldwin denim; Mark McNairy shoes

The home of Capsule New York, Basketball City transforms from a huge gymnasium, to a glorious menswear tradeshow where buyers, photogs and onlookers gather check out the latest gear from brands like BWGH, Mark McNairy, GANT Rugger, and countless others. Capsule is one of the industry's best and brightest tradeshows, so it's no wonder we go there to find the best new brands each season. It's also a great opportunity to get captured, inside and outside, for your favorite blog.

Where it is: Indio, CA
What to wear: Tank tops; jorts; facepaint; privilege

Coachella: The music festival of tomorrow. Drugs, booze, wild bands and raising holographic Tupac from the dead. And then there's the street style. While there are definitely scantily-clad women running about, they're balanced out by dudebros in tank tops (or no shirt at all), hipsters who will never take off their jeans and leather jackets (even in the desert), and other-worldly cosplay type shit people wear for attention. It's almost like Burning Man... for people under 40.

Where it is: Berlin, Germany
What to wear: Anything camo; European-exclusive sneakers; patterned buttondowns

Berlin's Tempelhof Airport is host to Bread & Butter, arguably one of the biggest tradeshows in the world. Buyers from all over flock to the old airport and brands go all out on booths with everything from ice skating rinks to mini-factories showing how products are made. It's where streetwear, sneakers, and Americana meet larger brands like Levi's, G-Star, and Scotch and Soda. The attendees all bring their A-game and it shows. It's possibly the only place you can encounter really differently-dressed people killing it in a variety of styles, all under one roof.

What to wear: Supreme caps; Mookee by Yuske tees; Publish Jogger Pants; Visvim sneakers; a skateboard

Fairfax Avenue is known for its streetwear scene. Consider it your one-stop shop for Supreme, Undefeated and all the crazy labels Union L.A. carries like Visvim and U.S. Alteration. Melrose Avenue is home of the Fairfax Flea, which is a community event of hip people buying hipper shit. It's an everyday thing to get your picture taken on both of these streets to portray the laid back style that is Los Angeles.

What to wear: Your very best probably won't be good enough. Just sayin'.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is held biannually at Lincoln Center, with runway shows galore. But the main runway is right outside the facilities, where editors, designers, and models take smoke breaks between shows, street style photographers look for stylish people to candidly snap, and struggle bloggers walk around pretending to be on their cell phones, hoping to get their picture taken.

Where it is: Paris, France
What to wear: Dries Van Noten pants; Maison Martin Margiela sneakers; Sandro baseball jersey; pretty much anything by a European designer

Anyone who is anyone attends Paris Fashion Week, and that's mainly just to be seen on the scene. When you see all of those pictures snapped in that wide open, beautiful space, that's the Louvre Palace. A$AP Rocky, Kanye, Frank Ocean have all recently been spotted here. So if you want to join their ranks, just dress to the nines and act like you should belong there.

What to wear: Bespoke suit; bench-made shoes; ridiculously expensive tie

Savile Row is the originator of the Tailor Gang. Bespoke suits made to perfection, waist coats and dapper leather footwear encompass the style of the historic central London street. You're probably here to get your professional look on, so don't come looking like a scrub straight off the plane, bruh.

What to wear: Designer parody tees; Supreme hats with high-fashion gear; your best street goth ensemble.

MILK Studios is this great photography studio that often holds fashion runway shows and music listening parties for those in the know. Congregating outside has become a pastime for the stylish elite to hang out, smoke cigarettes, and pose. During New York Fashion Week, the photogs come in droves and park themselves right outside. You're bound to get snapped if you have some wild shit on, so toss on a muumuu and Air Force 1s to get in there like swimwear.

Where it is: Tokyo, Japan
What to wear: Futuristic streetwear; BAPE hoodies; NEIGHBORHOOD outerwear; Junya Watanabe x Levi's pants

Quite possibly the shopping mecca of the world (sorry, NYC) Tokyo's Harajuku hosts some of the best stores in Japan—which blow many of their counterparts out of the water. Street style photography Tommy Ton loves shopping in Japan, and the cultural approach to style: It's more laid back, and you won't get called out for wearing really crazy stuff. You thought your boy wearing a scarf was peacocking? Obviously you haven't seen any of the crazy style coming from these streets.

The Fortezza, aka "The Pitti Wall" has held the asses of just about anyone who's anyone in the menswear industry during the premier Pitti Uomo menswear tradeshow, which has stylish buyers and important menswear editors looking at the upcoming offerings from lauded brands like Isaia, Boglioli, and Engineered Garments. That pebbled wall has seen many a cigarettes ashes and left behind strings of wool, as well as it's fair share of street style photos. You cannot look up "street style" without seeing a decent amount from this beautiful, blocked off area, mainly used for art exhibits.
