Nike takes its talents back to South Beach with the anticipated return of 2010’s “South Beach” LeBron 8 acting as the highlight of this week’s sneaker releases calendar.
Releases kick off on Tuesday with the limited “K.O.D./Solar Red” Clot x Air Max 1. On Wednesday, the “South Beach” LeBron 8 retro and FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low arrive on Nike SNKRS. Things continue on Thursday with the “Sunrise/Sunset” pack featuring the Kyrie 4 Low and KD 14, as well as the latest collection from Adidas Spezial. Virgil Abloh’s latest Nike collab, two colorways of the Air Zoom Tempo Next% , drop on Friday along with the “Phillies” Reebok Question Low. The releases wrap up on Saturday with the “Multicolor” KD 14 and “Red Metallic” Air Jordan 12.

Clot x Nike Air Max 1 'K.O.D/Solar Red'

What You Need to Know: A third variation of the “K.O.D.” Clot x Nike Air Max 1 is dropping exclusively at Juice stores this week. The brightest of the bunch, the “Solar Red” colorway is inspired by a 2007 friends and family pair that was designed for Kanye West. It features a grey upper, Solar Red and red overlays, and sits atop an icy sole.
Nike LeBron 8 'South Beach'

What You Need to Know: Following a release at various boutiques earlier this month, the “South Beach” LeBron 8 is dropping on SNKRS this Wednesday. Arguably the most popular LeBron sneaker to ever release, the Filament Green, black, and hot pink pair acted as a nod to LeBron’s new home in Miami back in 2010. The Miami Vice-esque color scheme would go on to become a staple of the sneaker world in the years that followed that was used on everything from Dwyane Wade’s short-lived Jordan signature line to retro Nike sneakers like Hideo Nomo’s Air Max NM.
FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro

What You Need to Know: With the Summer Games in Tokyo fast approaching, Nike is starting its steady rollout of sneakers and apparel nodding to Japanese culture. One of the first drops is a Nike SB Dunk Low collab with San Francisco’s FTC. The aqua blue suede upper and tiled white leather overlays featured on this pair are inspired by traditional Japanese bathhouses. A towel-like terrycloth liner, FTC logo on each heel tab, and silver Swoosh complete the pair.
Nike Kyrie 4 Low/KD 14 'Sunrise/Sunset' Pack

What You Need to Know: Nike is once again releasing similar pairs for Brooklyn Nets teammates Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Irving’s Kyrie 4 Low is dressed in a green-based “Sunrise” colorway inspired by New York’s parks in the beginning of the day, while Durant’s grey-based KD 14 takes cues from the colors seen at the park during sunset.

What You Need to Know: Adidas Spezial is releasing its range of Spring/Summer 2021 footwear later this week. The niche sub-label’s latest delivery includes archive-inspired models such as the Holylake, Marathon 86, Brunden, and Malmo Net.

What You Need to Know: Ahead of his massive Dunk Low output, Virgil Abloh is releasing a Nike collab connected to the upcoming Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The Air Zoom Tempo Next% arrives in “Black” and “Pink Glow” colorways. Each performance runner shares some of Abloh’s signature details like painted on Swooshes, zip ties, rubber track spikes on the sole, and “AIR” branding on the midsole that give the silhouette more lifestyle appeal.

Reebok Question Low 'Phillies'

What You Need to Know: Allen Iverson is most known for his tenture with the Philadelphia 76ers. For this upcoming Question Low, Reebok takes cues from another Philly sports franchise, the Philadelphia Phillies. The powder blue and burgundy suede upper is a nod to the baseball team’s popular uniforms that it wore throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s.

What You Need to Know: Two colorways of the KD 14 are dropping this week. Along with the “Sunset” color scheme, there is also this “Multicolor” option. This pair’s white, blue, and red upper invokes thoughts of Bomb Pops, the classic summertime treat. With Durant leading Team USA in the Olympics this year, it could also be a nod the colors of the American flag.
Air Jordan 12 'Red Metallic'

What You Need to Know: The latest Air Jordan 12 colorway slated to hit stores this weekend is a new look inspired by the OG “Cherry” color scheme frequently worn by Michael Jordan throughout the 1996-96 season. The “Red Metallic” 12s sports a white leather upper, matching shroud overlay, and subtle hits of metallic red on areas like the eyelets and heel tab.
