10 Most Hyped Items of 2025
Complex

It seems like we’ve hit a point where, as hard as you may try, it’s impossible to keep up with every single item released in any given week. While social media has made it easier than ever to launch a brand, it’s never been more challenging to make a lasting impression. But it isn’t impossible.

This year, we saw a handful of coveted products dominate the conversation. High-profile collabs with the usual suspects like Travis Scott and Supreme are here, but so are items from emerging brands like Brigade and We Are Righteous.

These 10 products were able to cut through the noise. It felt like everyone was after them, whether they wanted to rock them, flip them, or just store them in the collection.

10. Needles x Uniqlo Sweatpants

Needles nylon track pants have been the go-to cozy bottoms for stylish individuals for nearly a decade despite the $270 price tag. So, when the brand announced a capsule collection with everyone’s favorite basics chain Uniqlo, the hype was a given. The sweats retained their signature side stripes and butterfly patch, but were given a slight remix. Rather than nylon, they were made of a plush piled fleece. Shoppers embraced the material switch (and didn’t mind paying $210 less for some Needles pants). Customers flooded Uniqlos around the world on release day and the pairs flew off the shelves with ease. –Mike DeStefano

9. We Are Righteous 'Risen King' Zip Hoodie

One of the most consistent reference points for emerging streetwear brands in 2025 was religious iconography. Whether it was inspired by popular brands like Saint Michael and Seventh Heaven, a true nod to these brand owners’ beliefs, or rooted in irony is uncertain. What is certain is that the kids were receptive to it. One of the items that defined the trend was the “Risen King” zip hoodie from We Are Righteous. The all-over print design composed of hand-drawn Jesus faces and crosses put the brand on the map and has remained a key element of their product offering as they continue to introduce it in new colorways. –Mike DeStefano

8. Brigade Pillbox Hat

Do you subscribe to the pillbox agenda? If not, you’re missing out. The unorthodox 1960s hat shape has been resurrected and become a popular silhouette in streetwear. Brigade jumpstarted the movement (and has done it the best). From Paris to its homebase in New York City, the caps could be seen on the heads of tastemakers in various flavors.

Brigade does plenty of other things very well, but the motion they’ve gained from this headwear is a big reason why they landed a spot on our best streetwear brands of 2025 list. –Mike DeStefano

7. Margiela Future

The Margiela Future is one of the best luxury sneakers ever made. Naturally, when Margiela announced its return in October after an eight-year hiatus, fashion heads rejoiced. A massive Playboi Carti co-sign didn’t hurt either. Now, a new generation of style obsessives is after the high fashion high-tops. We just hope Margiela keeps dropping more colorways in 2026 to feed the hunger. –Mike DeStefano

6. FC Barcelona x Travis Scott Soccer Jersey

Pretty much anything Travis Scott slaps a Cactus Jack logo on makes waves. In 2025, the biggest of the bunch was an official project with one of the most prestigious soccer clubs in the world, FC Barcelona. Not only did the team actually wear the Cactus Jack kits on the pitch, its loyal fans got a chance to snag them for themselves. The lineups in Spain were insane despite the $500 price tag. The exclusivity has also caused the home kits to flip for over $1,000 on platforms like StockX. –Mike DeStefano

5. New Era x Takashi Murakami x MLB Dodgers Cap

Takashi Murakami did a ton of MLB collaborations in 2025. While other items like Shoehei Ohtani jerseys and Topps trading cards were also met with excitement, it was the Dodgers cap that became the most coveted piece of them all. It isn’t too surprising. Not everyone is going to toss on a baseball jersey, but you can support your favorite team with an exclusive cap every single day. The pink flowers, courtesy of Murakami, were the perfect detail to elevate an already iconic lid into a stylish accessory. –Mike DeStefano

4. Labubus

If you don’t know about Labubus by now, you must be off the grid. The “ugly-cute” creatures from Pop Mart’s The Monsters series became the collectible of 2025, selling out across continents and dangling from the bags of Rihanna, Central Cee, and more. The toy also gained massive exposure on social media, thanks in part to the blind box format that kept collectors guessing. According to Wired, Pop Mart reported a 668% year-over-year revenue jump for the first half of the year alone. That’s approximately $670 million, outperforming legacy players like Mattel. With profits quadrupling and lines wrapping around stores in multiple countries, Labubu cemented its place as a global phenomenon that even the snobbiest people you know couldn’t resist. —Shinnie Park

3. Nahmias x A24 ‘Marty Supreme’ Jacket

What happens when Hollywood’s golden boy Timothée Chalamet and A24 soft-launch a movie merch drop through cryptic Instagram Stories, an entourage of ping-pong-ball-headed people, and a hyper-realistic Zoom call for anyone who’s ever worked in the creative-corporate world? You get Marty Supreme. The windbreaker that has become the symbol of the rollout, made in collaboration with Californian streetwear brand Nahmias, first showed up on Chalamet, then on Kylie Jenner when the two were spotted at a Yankees game back in October. Since, it has continued to pop up on the most unexpected G.O.A.T.s: Frank Ocean, Tom Brady, Michael Phelps, and even Bill Nye. It’s only been a month since the Marty Supreme commotion started, but the jacket has quickly solidified itself as a defining piece of 2025 fashion. —Shinnie Park

2. Vans LX Old Skool 36 “Souvenir”

Vans gave the classic Old Skool a Chanel-inspired glow-up that helped catapult the heritage skate brand back into the footwear conversation. From the mind of designer Greg Betty, the “Souvenir” colorway dropped quietly and disappeared even faster. No big-name collaborator. No celebrity co-sign. Just organic buzz for a design that nailed the sweet spot: a familiar silhouette with a high-fashion reference that’s perfectly tuned to the DIY/distressed wave right now. Originally retailing at $125, current resale prices are double that. This was the drop that solidified Vans as one of our best brands of 2025. —Shinnie Park

1. Supreme Playboi Carti Photo Tee

For those that have been following Carti since the “Broke Boi” days, they know that the rage rap pioneer getting his own Supreme photo tee is a long time coming. While he may not be rocking as many Supreme grails as he did back in 2017, his connection to the brand is clear. Pair that history with one of the most devoted fanbases in music and pandemonium ensues. The Carti photo tee was so coveted that even wheatpastings that had been torn off a scaffolding wall on a rainy day were a hot commodity. Outside of Supreme’s NYC flagship on release day, people who couldn’t score a garment were copping framed posters. The moment was that huge.

One of the most influential rappers of this generation adding his name to the pantheon of legendary figures that have donned a Supreme photo tee was the perfect cherry on top of Carti’s insane run in 2025. –Mike DeStefano
