Complex Style Picks: Five of Our Favorite Finds This Week

Our "Complex Style Picks" column this week includes knits from NIGO's Kenzo, shades from Tyler, the Creator's Le Fleur*, and more.

We're gearing up for a long holiday weekend. For many people, that means hours by the pool, on the beach, or at the family barbecue. But if you have some extra time in between all of the Fourth of July festivities, or just prefer to keep cool inside, you might as well do some shopping, right?

There's plenty of sales to sift through if you choose. In case you don't feel like scrolling through hundreds of pages of clothes (we understand), here's something a bit more curated. We round up five of our our personal favorite finds across the internet this week. Check them out, below.

All products are independently selected by our editors. Complex may collect a share of sales from the links on this page if you decide to shop them.

Circulate Logo Crewneck

Price: $70
Where to Buy It: PacSun

If you haven’t tapped in with Corey Populus’ Circulate yet, consider this your reminder to. Populus is a true student of the game who came up working on Fairfax Avenue in its heyday and it shows. Many of Circulate's designs riff on important figures and moments in Black history. While this particular piece is a more simplistic logo crewneck, it’s a solid everyday piece to throw on before you step out for the day. Sometimes you just can't go wrong with the basics. And who doesn't like supporting a bubbling brand?

Human Made Brown Bear Coffee Mug

Price: $30
Where to Buy It: Bodega

If you’re anything like me, you can’t start your day without a fresh cup of coffee. You also can’t resist fixating on certain items and starting to collect them. For me, in 2023, coffee mugs have been that fixation. This one from Human Made is a great option that perfectly encapsulates NIGO's brand with its playful animal graphic and signature heart logo in green on the other side. And that gold trimming, what a nice final touch. Maybe the best part, it's just $30, much more attainable than a lot of the brand's clothing. If you've been contemplating adding some Human Made to your closet, this is a great way to scratch that itch.

Kenzo Floral Intarsia Sweater

Price: $484
Where to Buy It: Farfetch

NIGO debuted a strong third collection with Kenzo during Paris Fashion Week last week. It got me thinking about what "The General" has been able to do with the brand thus far. One of my favorite pieces, and one that I have been patiently waiting to go on sale, is this hockey jersey-esque floral knit sweater from NIGO’s first Kenzo collection. $484 still isn’t exactly cheap by any means, but scoring a piece like this for half price is definitely tempting. Be warned, it fits super oversized, so size down maybe one or even two full sizes depending on how you personally like your sweaters to fit. And yes, we know it's summer right now. It's never too early to think about next season's wardrobe, or just keep something on ice. This one feels like one of those pieces that is going to age well.

Birkenstock Kyoto Sandals

Price: $150
Where to Buy It: SSENSE

While we aren't of the belief that sneakers are "dead," there's nothing wrong with introducing some new footwear silhouettes to your closet. Everyone immediately thinks of Bostons and Arizonas when they think of Birkenstock. But why not try something a bit different? The Kyoto in taupe suede is a good in-between. And it's always great to have a go-to slip-on by the door in the warmer months. Plus, once you get enough mileage in them, there are few things as comfortable as that cork footbed. If you’re someone looking for the style of Fear of God’s Birkenstocks without the $450 price tag, these are a formidable alternative.

Le Fleur* Bel-Air Sunglasses

Price: $250
Where to Buy It: Le Fleur*

Everyone needs a go-to pair of shades for the summertime. And while there’s nothing wrong with opting for some classic Ray-Bans or something a bit more affordable if you have a tendency to misplace your new sunnies every year, this pair from Tyler, the Creator’s elevated Le Fleur* label caught our eye. I personally love tortoise shell frames, but they're also offered in black acetate if you want something calmer. The gold Golf Le Fleur branding on the temples is subtle and tasteful. You won't feel like you're wearing some Tyler, the Creator merch on your face, not that there's anything wrong with that if that's what you're into, but it's always good to keep your shades as versatile as possible.
