It’s getting a bit chilly outside, which means it’s as good a time as ever to start adding some warmer layers to your rotation. This week’s releases calendar is full of options too. Feeling nostalgic? Supreme is dropping a capsule of denim and zip-ups with True Religion. In preparation of the upcoming NBA regular season, OVO will be releasing a series of items like letterman jackets and hoodies to represent some of the league’s biggest franchises.

Supreme’s latest collaborator is a bit unexpected. The streetwear giant has tapped the go-to denim brand of the 2000s, True Religion. The brand’s signature denim look has been repurposed on a set of cargo pants and jackets complete with contrast stitching, horseshoes stitched on the back pockets, and co-branded logo patches. Other pieces include beanies, caps, and faded zip-up hoodies with a giant True Religion Buddha logo plastered across the chest.

OVO x NBA

OVO has collaborated with the NBA just in time for the upcoming season. Sweatpants, hoodies, New Era fitteds, T-shirts, sideline towels, and embroidered varsity jackets. The Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and New York Knicks are all represented. For the lookbook, the brand decided to feature Chief Keef, Bobby Shmurda, and Drakeo the Ruler to represent their respective cities.

Reese Cooper 'Pyrophyte'

Reese Cooper has released the first delivery from his Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Titled “Pyrophyte,” the collection is inspired by various plants that have adapted to tolerate fire. Nature-inspired graphics like deer, park badges, helicopters used to fight forest fires, and North American climate maps are used across hoodies and T-shirts. Other items include flannel-lined cargo jackets, ripstop sets covered in an ember print, snap cargos, and a knit sweater depicting an image of a wildfire.

Todd Snyder x L.L. Bean

Todd Snyder and L.L. Bean have recently released their second collaborative capsule titled “Upta Camp.” The outdoors-focused collection features items like multicolored striped sweaters, chamois shirts in a handful of fall appropriate colors, sherpa jackets, cargo pants, and more. Artwork from old L.L. Bean catalog covers have been re-purposed to appear on turtleneck sweaters, while trouts and teddy bears have been embroidered onto sweaters to add graphic elements to the capsule.

Renowned 'Beyond Lucid'

Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Renowned has just released its “Beyond Lucid” collection. The main detail found throughout this season is the use of the “Lucid Cut,” a wavy cut and sew technique that has been implemnted across varsity jackets, crewnecks, quilted liner jackets, and cargo pants. Other items include T-shirts and hoodies sporting an airbrush-styled “Manifest” graphic, a brown work jacket, and more.

Brain Dead

Brain Dead has just dropped off its Pre-Fall 2021 range. Christophe Lemaire’s latest season for Uniqlo U is arriving tomorrow. Essentials such as tailored jackets, mock neck knit sweaters, flannels, hoodies, T-shirts, selvedge denim, and chinos will be available in various seasonal colors. Pieces like the Recycled Down Jackets take a more sustainable approach. They have been developed with 40% recycled nylon.

Stone Island Fall/Winter 2021 'Ghost'

Stone Island has just released its range of “Ghost” pieces for Fall/Winter 2021. The monochromatic line includes lightweight jackets with nylon moleskin outer shells, outerwear made of Stretch Wool 3 Layers fabric—wool coupled to a water and windproof membrane, protected by a nylon mesh, sweaters, cargo pants, and more. Dark brown, black, navy blue, and military green colorways are all available. The brand’s second collection, “A Love Like No Other,” takes inspiration from their childhood memories of watching their father peform his duties as a mechanic and take them to car races. Honor the Gift 'Inner City Love'

Russell Westbrook’s Honor the Gift is releasing its newest collection in a few days titled Inner City Love. Pangaia Recycled Cashmere

Pangaia has released a new collection of recycled cashmere items. Hoodies, track pants, turtlenecks, sweaters, scarves, and beanies are all available in black, purple, teal, and oatmeal colorways. This week, Pangaia has also launched its first eyewear collection under its Pangaia Lab platform, a collaboration with carbon transformation company, Twelve. Using Twelve’s technology, Pangaia has crafted sunglass lenses made of carbon dioxide. Black, silver, and cobalt blue styles will retail at $495 each and be limited to only 200 units.

Brooklyn’s Sadé + Shaniya are set to release their new collection, “Growing Pains,” this Friday. Metamorphosis and continuous evolution are the main themes of the duo’s latest work. More specifically, the designers channeled the creations of Black visionaries like Stephen Burrows, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Sun Ra. Key pieces include the Mora bag, curved Juno top, and paneled Nu pants that will be each be available in an array of colors and materials.
