The National Rifle Association has just opened a new museum in Springfield, Mo. that shows off the most famous firearms in history. From Teddy Roosevelt's pistol to Jesse James' revolver to Annie Oakley's shotgun, the NRA Sporting Arms Museum holds a collection of the celebrities of the gun world.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the museum's goal is to show off the American themes of "hunting, conservation, and freedom." Outside of this Red, White, and Blue agenda, however, the museum exhibits the craft and artistry that went into creating these firearms. Along with rows and rows of guns, the NRA Museum also includes display cases that recreate historical moments with mannequins and installations.
