Since it's almost the middle of November, it's time to really start shopping seriously for winter outerwear. Although we may not be outside as much due to the second wave of a global pandemic rolling in, it's still worth updating your wardrobe for brighter days ahead.
This week is rife with great releases that will set you up for colder temperatures ahead. Supreme is dropping 6-inch boots with Timberland, JJJJound is collaborating with Eddie Bauer to release one of the heritage outdoor brand's most influential jackets, and Stüssy is celebrating its 40th anniversary by releasing a collaborative collection with Comme des Garçons' CDG line. Supreme is collaborating with Timberland once again for the release of its iconic 6-inch Premium Waterproof Boot. The Timbs feature a premium nubuck upper, triple stitching, seam-sealed construction, and printed logos from both brands. The boots also boast 400 grams of PrimaLoft insulation and leather lining, which makes them perfect for winter. It arrives in three different colorways. To commemorate Stüssy's 40th anniversary, the brand has collaborated with CDG by Comme des Garçons on an exclusive capsule collection of accessible wardrobe staples. The range features a co-branded MA1 bomber jacket, midweight pinstripe jacket with matching Beach pants, graphic T-shirts, a heavy cotton tote bag, and a bucket hat.
Eddie Bauer x JJJJound

Eddie Bauer has partnered with JJJJound to release two special pieces of outerwear from the heritage outdoor brand's archives. The Skyliner jacket was originally launched in the late 1930s and is patented as the first visibly quilted down jacket in the United States. The Canadian Vest, which was introduced in 1954, will also be available. JJJJound's iterations of these influential jackets and vests boasts 800-Fill responsible goose down, a polyester ripstop shell with a DWR finish, vintage Talon brass zippers, rib knit collar and cuffs, and an engraved JJJJound plaque at the patch pocket.

Better Gift Shop has teamed up with The Marvin Gaye Estate and Motown Records for a limited-edition Marvin Gaye Live! camp shirt. The short-sleeve camp shirt is made out of 100% viscose and features the iconic 1974 album cover art from Marvin Gaye Live! The shirt arrives at Better and DSMNY's online store this Saturday and at the Better Gift Shop Kiosk in Los Angeles. The Latinx-owned streetwear brand Menace Los Angeles is dropping its second delivery from its Fall 2020 collection. Titled "Menace Corporation," the brand's second drop includes laser engraved denim, Balaclava puffer jackets, graphic T-shirts, and more. Mattel Creations has unveiled a new collaborative art toy line dubbed MEGA Collabs with Frank Kozik of Kidrobot fame. The collaboration with the famous '90s rock poster artist and vinyl toy pioneer is centered on his iconic Labbit character. Loewe's newest capsule collection is centered on the artist Ken Price. Jonathan Anderson took inspiration from a series of twenty unique hand painted ceramic plates Price made for Newport Beach's La Palme restaurant in the early '80s. Motifs from the La Palme, Easter Island, and Price's LA series are featured in this Loewe collection. Ken Price’s colorful drawings appear as prints on silk shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, washed denim trousers, drawstring skirts, and shirts. His art also appears as interasia knits on cashmere cardigans and jumpers. Hooded sweatshirts, blousons, silk twill scarves, long mohair scarves, and palm-shaped scarves round out the collection.

Supreme has a long tradition of releasing sleek pocket knives. However, the brand's collaboration with the heritage knife company Opinel is one of the best knives the brand has ever released. Originally patented in 1890, the French knife was embraced by farmers and train conductors—Picasso supposedly kept his close at bay. Today, it's commonly used amongst outdoorsman, as the Opinel No.8 folding knife is perfect for preparing meat and vegetables for the grill at a campsite. Although this collaboration will sell-out quickly, these knives are widely available for an affordable price tag of $17 at Opinel's online store.

The Moab 2 Mid Eco is the most eco-friendly, waterproof, version of the Moab ever created. The second drop of Vans' ongoing collaboration with The Modern Museum of Art highlights the work of Edvard Munch, Jackson Pollock, Lybov Popova, and Faith Ringgold. Munch’s famous “The Scream 1895,” Pollock’s “One: Number 31, 1950,” are printed on Vans Era and Vans Authentic footwear models. Popova’s constructivist ‘Untitled, 1917’ appears on the Vans Sk8-Hi, a ringer tee, and a colorful fleece. As the only living artist included in the collaboration, Faith Ringgold was able to work closely with Vans and MoMA to translate some of her most recent works to the collection. A special Vans Era is embellished with Ringgold’s feminist posters: “Woman Free Yourself 1971” and “Freedom Woman Now 1971." A Vans Classic Slip-On bears Ringgold’s abstract ‘The Windows of the Wedding’ and features a quote in the artist’s handwriting: “My mother said I’d have to work twice as hard to go half as far.”
