This week is rife with a number of great releases to kick off the month of May. Palace is set to release its Summer 2021 collection this Friday, Alife is collaborating with Timberland for a special twist on a unique boat shoe, Basketcase has just dropped a new collection, and Supreme is dropping a collaboration with a punk rock art legend. Other great releases this week include Kids of Immigrants’ anniversary capsule, BAPE x Adidas Superstars, and exclusive Dries Van Noten capsule collections for Mr. Porter and Net-A-Porter.

Palace Summer 2021

Palace’s new Summer 2021 collection will drop this Friday. Standouts from the London skateboard brand’s latest collection include hoodies, shorts, and shirts with a “Hippy Salute” needle point graphic. Chain stitched ducks on bomber jackets, “Infitnity Palace” monograms on stone washed denim jackets and jeans, and “Gassy” vintage workwear inspired shirts are also highights from Palace’s Summer 2021 range. A pair of Crocs embellished with Palace-themed Jibbitz will likely become one of the most coveted releases from the brand’s newest season.

Alife x Timberland

Timberland and Alife have unveiled a new collaboration, creating the “Authentics 3-Eye Thickened Lug” boat shoe. Alife took Timberland’s 3-Eye Lug and added a thickened EVA midsole for a “double stack” look. The shoe boasts handsewn construction, 360-degree rawhide lacing for a custom fit, and responsibly sourced Better Leather. The campaign for Alife’s third collaboration with Timberland was shot by Blake Kunin, a rising New York City-based photographer who is well known for his photography zines.

Dries Van Noten Capsule for Mr. Porter & Net-A-Porter

Net-A-Porter and Mr. Porter have just released an exclusive capsule collection by Belgian designer Dries Van Noten. The men’s and women’s collections are inspired by summer days, travel and escapism, and capture Dries Van Noten’s vision for color, vibrancy, and optimism. The collections includes relaxed silhouettes and fabrics in sunburst colors and psychedelic prints. T-shirts, shirts, and shorts with “Wish You Were Here” graphic motifs, swimwear, shoes, sunglasses, and beach accessories round out both collections. Dries Van Noten’s Net-A-Porter capsule offers 62 different pieces while Mr. Porter’s capsule features 40 items. Dries Van Noten’s collaboration with Mr. Porter marks the first time the eponymous label has ever released an exclusive menswear collection with a retail partner.

Basketcase "Westwood" Collection

California-based Indie brand, Basketcase, is releasing its third collection of 2021 titled “Westwood” this Friday. The 14-piece collection is made up of thermo long sleeves, military shorts, flared bottoms, hats, and graphic T-shirts. Other standout items within the collection are re-issues of the ENNIU hoodie in a “pale” colorway and a patchwork denim silhouette that will be available in limited quantities. The Basketcase shop is exclusively open once a month for only 72 hours, so be sure to cop any pieces that catch your eye this weekend.

Supreme x Jamie Reid

Supreme has unveiled a new artist collaboration centered on Jamie Reid. The British artist and activist is widely known for creating album artwork for The Sex Pistols. Supreme’s collaboration with Reid includes a varsity jacket, sweater, shirt, hooded sweatshirt, and T-shirt. The garments feature Reid’s iconic collage style and read “It’s All Bollocks” and “Fuck All.”

Tiffany & Co. has just released its first men’s engagement ring. The Charles Tiffany Setting boasts a bold solitaire diamond and is a sibling to Tiffany & Co.’s iconic Tiffany Setting ring for women. Kids of Immigrants Anniversary Collection

Kids of Immigrants is dropping a new clothing collection today that commemorates the brand's five-year anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, the brand will also host a series of events in the Los Angeles area that will give back to the community. SNS has highlighted Adidas’ latest collaboration with BAPE with a campaign featurning Freddie Gibbs wearing vintage BAPE. The campaign references the golden era of Japanese streetwear magazines. It specifically nods to coveted BAPE E-MOOK magazines from the 2000s. BAPE’s collaboration with Adidas zeroes in on the Superstar 80s. The shoe is covered in green ABC camo with mismatched Three Stripes and Bapesat star branding on each side panel. Levi's Pride 2021 Collection

The Levi’s Pride 2021 collection includes a wide range of unisex products. Many feature a rainbow graphic inspired by the waving rainbow flag of the Castro District in San Francisco. A standout from the collection is the Liberation Trucker Jacket, a light wash indigo jacket with rainbow paneling and the words “they/them, she/her, he/him, we.” Light wash short overalls, a jumpsuit, two graphic T-shirts, a tank, a graphic crewneck, and a “sports bra” that features eye-catching rainbow prints are also available. All the net proceeds from the collection will be donated to OutRight Action International, an organization that’s worked to advance LGBTQ+ rights all around the world for the last three decades.

Flaneur Homme has just released its Spring/Summer 2021 collection dubbed, “Surfing Heaven.” The collection includes elevated silhouettes such as a teddy jacket with embroidery, bondage cargo bottoms, and ultra-soft T-shirts with heavy wash and rhinestone embellishments. Logo hoodies are constructed out of 10-ounce, 100% cotton to emphasize comfort and fit, while T-shirts have been washed and cut from a refined oversized pattern.

To compliment the release of the “Horus” Nike Kyrie 7, Concepts is dropping the “Feather of Maat” Collection. The mysteries of ancient Egypt inspired Kyrie’s new Nike shoe. Blue hues throughout the shoe’s upper draw from the colors of the ancient Egyptian artifact and Egyptian symbols are worked into the forefoot bands, heel, and Swoosh designs. The color palates and graphics of the “Feather of Maat” collection translate Kyrie’s vision through a range of apparel and accessories. Rich turquoises and teal colors contrast with a range of orange tones that represent the desert sands. Egyptian symbols like the Ankh and Lotus flower appear on crewnecks, hoodies, sweatpants, socks, and T-shirts. Ceramics like small dishes and an incense holder, all hand-sculpted by New York-based Demetria Chappo, are also avaialable. The collection is rounded out by a trio of New Era 5950 fitted caps produced in collaboration with Set Free Richardson’s COMPOUND. Each hat features a bold numerical “7” on the front, as well as symbols from the collection embroidered on side panels.
