This has been the summer of street art. (And the year of the print). It seems as if every city in the world has hosted a street art festival in 2011. Beirut is currently entertaining one right now!
With all the hype around street art, there is little wonder cities are jumping on the bandwagon — celebrating the new wave of public art and and bringing incredible commissioned work from international artists brings a little color and a whole lot of tourism to a town.
In honor of the summer of street art, we've selected the top 25 best murals of the summer. Not all of them were commissioned, proving some renegade graffiti still exists, but all are especially good.
