It's official. Alexander Wang is Balenciaga's new creative director. The Paris-based fashion house confirmed the news on Twitter, stating that the appointment will be effective immediately. He takes over for the brand's long-time creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, who announced he was stepping down last month.
Wang will be responsible for designing the brand's women's and men's ready-to-wear and accessories collections, as well as overseeing Balenciaga's image. He will also continue his work at his eponymous line.
