People had been waiting outside New York stores since 7 a.m., and even eager consumers who attempted to buy it online ended up crashing the e-commerce site. Despite criticism for being boring, expensive, or both, the pared-down capsule collection of basics nevertheless gained cult status.
A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou spoke about the ups and downs of working with Kanye, while people on Twitter were quick to balk at the collection's prices.
