Get your clothes tailored.

As Tyrion Lannister knows, off the rack clothing isn't always the best-fitting. It's well worth your time and a few bucks to get your gear tailored for the perfect fit. Whether it's a few inches taken out of a pair of chinos, or an entire overhaul on your wardrobe, copping new gear is just the first step. Tailoring adds the final touches that a baller look requires.

Dress for your size.

Sam Tarly is known for one thing on the Wall: his girth. But that hasn't stopped him from acting heroically, nor has it impeded him from dressing well, because he knows how to dress for his size. Big men can be steezy, too; just peep Sam's slimming belt, the quilted pattern that breaks up his width, and a giant fur cape that hides most of him. If he rolled down the street wearing this goth Middle Ages look, he'd definitely get street styled.

Mix up your materials and textures.

What's cooler than a leather jacket? How about a leather jacket with a massive amount of fur trimming. Robb Stark realizes that any true King of the North can't be monotonous in his battle tactics nor his steez. So instead of sticking with one consistent material and texture, Robb mixes it up for a richer, fuller look. If a dude looked this slick, wouldn't you follow him into battle against the Lannisters?

Clothes you wear until they're falling apart look awesome.

If you don't have a pair of jeans or a shirt that's well on its way to complete destruction, it's not too late to get started on this style bucket list item. Gendry Waters' leather vest looks like it's spent quite a bit of time with him at the blacksmith getting fucked up by flying sparks, molten heat, and white hot bits of metal. And that's why it looks awesome. Make sure to wear something while doing all your chores (or at least when you're drinking) so that it gets as awesomely messed up as Gendry's vest.

Have a solid resort or tropical outfit.

Jorah Mormont is usually weighed down in heavy armor, even when marching across the Red Waste deserts with Daenerys Targaryen and her khalasar. But when he's chillin' in beautiful sunshine and luxury of the city of Qarth, he knows the virtues of a light and breezy look fit for the setting. Throw on a poplin or linen popover, along with a summer-weight scarf to break up the solid color, and you'll be as ready for some R&R as Jorah looks.

This is how you rock a shawl.

Davos Seaworth may not have fingers on his left hand, but he can rock a shawl better than you can. If you're up for making this very advanced style move, you'll have to bring as much piss and vinegar as the Onion Knight does. Otherwise, your bitchboyness will only be magnified when you try to drape shawls.

Know how to layer mid-weight pieces.

Tyrion Lannister's favorite sellsword knows how to handle his weapon and also how to layer multiple mid-weight pieces to stay cozy and unrestricted. Bronn's hearty fisherman sweater under a light, airy vest means he can battle knights without overheating, but also drink and whore late into the chilly night. Instead of throwing on one heavy coat when it's cold out, layer up so you can shed and add pieces accordingly.

Splurge on at least one lavish garment.

Joffrey Lannister and his mother Cersei aren't ones to spare any expense when it comes to their royal wardrobes. Most regular people can't afford the full arsenal of lavish gear that the boy-king rocks daily, but everyone should have at least one opulent garment stashed away for special occasions. Whether it's a shirt that's as embellished as one of Joffrey's robes, or something outrageously expensive, splurge on a grail piece that you bust out when necessary aka whenever you feel like it.

Don't be afraid to rock florals.

If you still haven't accepted floral clothes as a wardrobe staple yet, then you're simply missing out. For proof, just peep Xaro Xhoan Daxos, who uses rich floral patterns to showcase his wealth and power in the city of Qarth. And don't even try to say that a dude wearing flowers isn't manly. No spoilers, but Xaro makes serious power moves while bedecked in florals. Qarth's richest man is definitely sending signals of why you need to invest in some botanical clothes.

Learn what colors work for you.

Jon Snow's a quick learner, and he learned early that "taking the black" meant he'd have to commit to the look. Luckily, his massive and shaggy cloak sets off his pale face while matching his unruly mane of hair. Also fortunate was his timing—every style icon from Kanye to Justin Bieber have been rocking black leather, meaning Snow's standard combo of black leather, black wool, and black fur is incredibly on-point.
