Telfar Clemens’ popular bag and clothing line Telfar is receiving its first flagship store in New York City.
The designer revealed the news during his visit to The Breakfast Club when talking about how the brand has evolved since he started it years ago.
“There is one coming,” he said during the interview. “We’re opening a store this year in New York City and we’re still deciding where that’s going to be. I don’t want to say too much about it, but we’re opening a store.”
Clemens didn’t clarify when exactly the brick and mortar location would open and where in NYC it will be located, but did confirm that it will all be happening sometime in 2022. Telfar has grown from a niche brand to one that is now fully embraced by the culture and one that collaborates with other impressive companies as well. Recently, a Telfar Camo hoodie was even worn by a character during Season 2 of HBO’s hit teen drama series Euphoria.
Telfar was also present at this year’s New York Fashion Week, and despite the new, expensive prices for Clemens’ bags causing some heads to turn, the brand continues to grow. The Telfar Round Circle Bag that was featured at NYFW has a retail price of $567, roughly $300 more than the brand’s popular Shopping Bag.
